Ice Cleats
The first pair of XL ice cleats bought, not from this vendor, were a bit small. I got them on my boots, but not very easily. These, also XL, were a better fit. They've held up through the winter season. I'd buy them again.

Traction
If you do any winter hiking on packed surfaces then get these for your boots. They are relatively easy to put on (get help, or put them on your boots first then put your boots on your feet). Once you try these you will never hike in winter without them. We have used these for years now and got this set for our granddaughter so she can join our hikes. We hike a local forestry path that is pretty step with some very icy parts and some stream bank paths that require a rope to get up or down. These have NEVER failed us. They give you such confidence and amazing traction that your hike becomes about the scenery and not the fear of falling. Only warning is to be careful on paved or rock surfaces.

Real Deal
Bought these to replace 15 old year worn out chain style.Have used the new ones a few times and all I can say is AWESOME! These fit well (XL) on my size 14 boots. Can be put on fairly easy and no problems with fit. Was concerned about comfort and can say you do not notice when wearing. They work great on ice and ice with snow on top. Great traction, you can walk normal with no fear of slipping. I pull a sled when ice fishing and would highly recommend these for anyone walking on ice. The rubber stay pliable even in very cold conditions. Look to be constructed well.Did have one chain that disconnected from spike. Was an easy fix. Reattached in proper hole and crimped with pliers. Checked all the connections and it was only one that had issue.Would purchase these again!

So far so good
So far so good taking them up into the mountains this weekend so will report back with an update but I got a medium and they fit fine on my size W6 feet soft trek and hiking boots. Seem like pretty good quality so far

Easy To Install, Fabulous Grip
I purchased the XL and these fit fairly easily into a pair of size 12 (US) hiking boots. Well-made, rugged, easy to install and likely to provide fabulous additional grip (I haven't had any snow/ice on which to try them yet). Updated to follow

Great for winter hiking.
These work perfect for Ice and packed snow, use them every weekend during the winter while hiking in the Rocky mountain national park and they never fail me. They fit my size 12 hiking boots great and the strap keeps them on nice an tight. Definitely make my hikes safer and they seem to built well, would last forever if I would stop losing my left one.

These Keep Me Safe
I have bought several pairs over the years. I can walk on ice and snow without falling.I use primarily for hikes in the winter. They are great on steps on trails.Comfortable on all types of boots.Note: there is little protection on thin, black ice on pavement.

One for your Left, and one for your other Left!
Pros - they seem to do their job. We had a mid-winter thaw, then a re-freeze, and so all over the farm there is a layer of ice. These gave me traction.Cons - When I put these on my boots, I noticed that I was sent two Ls, instead of an L and a R. I hoped it wouldn't matter, but it might because when I looked at the way they fit on my boots the left one seems to fit fine, but the L crampon on my right boot seems pulled off to the side.Overall, they do provide traction, but I'm not sure how long the one on my right boot will last because it's already being stretched out of shape.
