Amazing filter - Best Value for Money Mod
I 've been using K&N filters on all my cars and vehicles for the last 24 years. Every new vehicle I get to own I immediately order the corresponding K&N filter. The reasons? First and foremost it lets the car "breathe" more and cleaner air compared to any disposable 15 euro air filter offered at regular service intervala by the maufacturer. Second, it prolongs the engine life, allows better reving and performance and saves fuel. Third, it is reusable and although I have a haevy duty vehicle using one for 17 consecutive years, every time I wash it and oil it it is as good as new! This filter is no exception. The moment I installed on the Ford Ranger and started the engine I could feel the difference throughout the rev range, from idle to 4500 rpm. It is as if something is holding the engine back and it disappears. Do not expect tremendous change: a slight but really useful, helpful change noticeable by people who tend to listen and feel their machines/investments. Defiinately recommended! Best value for money modification for any car/vehicle.

I have owned a number of vehicles with k &n filters. The filter installs easy enough and quality of build is excellent as always. I did notice a few strands of what appeared to be silicone material still attached to the inside of the filter but they were hard to remove. These strands may cause future problems if they came loose. This may be endemic to the filter i received. One thing Ranger owners need to be aware of is the the oil coated filter may affect the operation of the maf sensor, which will need to be monitored and cleaned more regularly otherwise problems may ensue. Good product and would recommend on most vehicles.
