Rainbow Symphony Pack of 10 Diffraction Grating Slides - Double Axis 13,500 Lines/inch

The gratings and their frames were all well made, and there were no defective ones in my set. The packaging was adequate, and none were damaged in shipping. They are suitable for making the "Home made spectroscopes" that have instructions all over online.

Used this grating with a red laser pointer to demonstrate diffraction to a bunch of lucky chemistry students. I really hope they learn Bragg's law after I went to so much trouble.

If you are after fun with solar spectrum then this is for you it is on a 35 mm slide and that helps

Excellent for a physics class - or to interest grandchildren. The vaying spectra of the new LED lights show up well when viewed through one of the gratings.

It's a nice quality grating, but unfortunately it's not 13,500 lines/inch as specified. It's almost exactly 5,000 lines/inch, which you can get from the diffraction grating formula using a laser pointer: λ = d sin(θ). Measured θ = 0.1285 radians, λ = 650nm.

Product came as advertised

Used to use these in physics class when learning about light. I have no idea where these are produced but it's the exact same look with the odd rainbow colored cardboard holder. Regardless of how they look they work perfectly fine for demonstration purposes, the grating line-count is accurate. It handles low power lasers perfectly fine, it might not handle high powered lasers seeing as it's only plastic, but for this price I wouldn't expect it to, so I haven't bothered to try it.
