Timed Lock Box, Phone Lock Box with Timer, 6.5" Time Lock Safe, Time Locking Container for Cell Phone, Snacks and Other Tempting Items

First, I would like to say that my order arrived a lot more quickly than I had expected it to. Secondly, I thought that it was packaged well. This is a really cute, niche product that is used to lock something up for a set amount of time, up to ten (10) days. While your locked item is inside the clear, (ABS plastic, I think) box, you can see it, but you cannot get to it. The electronically controlled locking mechanism can be set for any time, up to ten days. The instructions that came with it, are clear, simple, straightforward, and easy to read, and understand. You can place anything that you want to, that will fit, inside the box, and then lock for whatever time you set, to restrict your access to it. After the mechanism locks the lid onto the box, a countdown timer begins. Once the amount of time you have set has gone by, the locking mechanism opens automatically. It even has a failsafe feature that allows the batteries to be changed, if necessary, so that the countdown will continue afterwards. I have no idea who might have originally thought this thing up, but it is rather unique, and inventive. It does exactly what is supposed to do. It is easy to use, and works very well. I have tried it a number of times, and so far, there have been no problems whatsoever. If you, or someone you know has a need for this, for any reason, then this will definitely do the job for you. I think it can be used practically, or could even be used as a novelty gift.

I was excited to receive this, but that was shortlived. Whoever does the QC on this failed big time. Right out of the box, this piece of plastic (pictured) was sticking out. There was a bubble on the screen, I thought it was the screen itself but there was plastic over it, but not the normal plastic that peels right off, it goes underneath the housing so it was a pain to remove to get rid of the bubble. The locking feature is inconsistent. I'll follow the instructions and put in the time I want it locked and the 5 second countdown will begin, but then the locking tabs don't always extend. It's hit and miss, and downright frustrating. Don't waste your money.

So beware! It will absolutely lock you out for however long with no work around a except destruction of the product—and with a nice price tag to match, I wouldn’t dare scratch the thing!Use with wisdom.

I really liked this lock box and it's a clever idea, but unfortunately it's cheaply made so here it is barely a year after purchase and the plastic battery compartment door has officially jammed shut, so once the current batteries wear out, I'll have no choice but to pry the plastic cover off, breaking it in the process. Very disappointing.

Bought this box to lock away my PS5 controllers to help with studying (fits my two controllers and could probably fit a third). So far it works just like it says. There's no way to open it until the timer ends, removing the batteries just stops the timer but doesn't free the locking mechanism. I'll post updates if it stops working like it should but so far it's been perfect.
