Great quality. Bought this ages ago . But very nice to knit or crochet with. Very soft and the shade of colour was lovely

Good value, good range of colours. Thinner than some other brands
I bought several different colours of the Utopia Crafts DK yarn to make a patchwork-type knitted blanket. I found that, in general, the Utopia balls of yarn were not as thick as other brands. The squares made with Utopia yarn were more drapey, but the stitch definition was good. I am not sure how hardwearing this yarn would be if made into a garment. A good yarn for beginners at a reasonable price and an excellent range of colours.

Utopia's 'Perfect DK' is Hit & Miss on quality - this was a miss :(
Why did you choose this product over others?: I have purchased a few different colours of the Utopia Crafts Perfect DK. Some are lovely and soft, others less so but still ok for the price, and unfortunately some are really coarse. Sadly the Dark Raspberry is the latter. Weight wise I would say it is closer to Aran weight, and it is not soft at all. It's a lovely colour, but horrible to work with. I'm currently making dolls clothes - if it was for a person to wear I would bin it, but dolls are less picky! Value for money: The price is very competitive, IF you get a good one. This was not; I would not buy this colour again and will look for an alternative brand.

Good budget yarn
I have used this brand for a few projects before, considering the price I am very happy with the quality, good range of colours and no dye transfer to my hands which has happened before with cheaper yarns. However be aware the colour is much more of a pinkish red than a rusty colour (what I wanted!)
