UvexInstinct Visor - Adjustable ski & Snowboard Helmet with Integrated Visor for Women & Men

This ski helmet is not only functional in protecting your head, but it is also the coolest helmet that I have ever seen. If you are not familiar with UVEX's products, let me tell you this is a very well known established brand in the UK. They only put out quality products that's why the helmet looks so nice! Not only is this helmet ultra comfortable, but it's also ultra adjustable if you order the right size. The adjustable vents on the top and back of the helmet keep your head cool, the material on the sides and top is commercial grade and very well made. It has double and triple stitching throughout, and the visor is truly anti-fog. This is the top choice for most professional athletes, and the technology and innovation is better than anything that I have ever seen. The goggles on this mask allow you to wear your glasses underneath them, and the chin strap is adjustable and comfortable. The different layers of PC and EPS gives you the maximum amount of protection for your head. When wearing the helmet it does not feel too heavy, and there are no restrictions when turning your head. The product is made in Germany and it is nothing but tough. I will be wearing this not only when I ski, but also on my electric scooter and bike. Much better than described, and I highly recommend.

I was totally enamored with the idea of having a helmet with an integrated set of goggles. These looked handsome in the pics so pulled the trigger. Several problems - the goggles sit too far away from your face so there is a noticeable gap on the bridge of your nose - looks goofy in any selfies. If its snowing then snow will get past that gap and fly in under the goggles. Second problem is I cracked the goggles on the first day of use - I fell (the only time that particular day) and banged the back of the helmet (front never touched the ground) - when I got back up to ski there was a noticeable crack on the lower left corner of the goggles. The impact somehow traveled to the goggles (because they are integrated?) and cracked the lens. I cannot find any replacement lenses here in the USA - I can find them in Europe but would cost me $100+ to send to me. Disappointing.

Sitzt perfekt und sieht wie bei uns in Matt- Schwarz einfach Astrein aus!Wie schon bei meinen UVEX- Motorradhelm hat dieser Skihelm über einen längeren Zeitraum einen perfekten Tragekomfort. Da drückt nichts!Was noch positiv auffällt:- der Helm schützt sehr gut mit der speziellen schlagfesten Aussenschale und der stoßabsorbierenden Innenbeschaffenheit.- sehr gute Ventilationseigenschaften für einen kühlen Kopf. Einsellbar. Auch komplett verschließbar!- hat alle Zulassungen, natürlich auch das GS- Zeichen für geprüfte Sicherheit. Kein No Name Murks!- einstellen der Kopfgröße geschieht schnell und passgenau über einen Drehknopf.- spezielles Visier. Verringert merklich die Sonneneinstrahlung und ist beschlagsfrei.- Visier ist klappbar und rastet ein.- Ruck Zuck ist der Verschluss des Gurtes geöffnet oder umgekehrt.- natürlich läßt sich das Gurtband in der Länge verstellen.- inkl. Aufbewahrungstasche und Bedienungsanleitung auch in Deutsch!- den Preis finde ich für diesen hochwertigen Helm völlig okay.Was gefällt nicht:Bisher nichts.Was ist für mich noch wichtig?1. Was nützt der beste Helm, wenn es keine Ersatzteile gibt. Das passiert bei UVEX nicht! Da kann ich schnell ein vielleicht durch Unachtsamkeit defektes Visier o. ä., auch nach Jahren ersetzen.2. Das das Innenteil entnehmbar und waschbar ist und das es danach auch schnell wieder angebracht ist. Das hat dieser Skihelm.Abschließend:Für meinen Kopf das beste, ob beim Skifahren oder beim Biken. Dieser Skihelm ist jedenfalls sehr überzeugend und sieht dazu Klasse aus. UVEX ist übrigens, eine der renommiertesten Firmen aus Deutschland auf dem Gebiet.5 Sterne von mir.Viel Spass damit und vielleicht war meine Rezension nützlich?

Passform trotz korrekter Größe nicht optimal. Solide verarbeitet. Das Visier friert bei Minusgraden schnell ein. Mögliche Gründe: schlechte Beschichtung, Undichtigkeiten am Gesicht oder das schnelle Einfrieren, wenn man das Visier nach oben geschoben hat. Das darf eigentlich nicht passieren! Die Beseitigung des Eises im Visier fällt schwer, weil man nicht gut an die Innenseite herankommt. Bin enttäuscht.
