Blaupunkt AMP1704P 1700Watts AB Class Full Range-Full 4-Channel Amplifier

After installing of 2 months of this amplifier in my car I can say that this is amazing product. I simply installed 2 Vibs speakers (280watt each), 2 edge speakers (180watt each) with twitters (120eatt each), two vibs speakers (300watt each) and 2 edge box speaker (280watt each). Everything is working very perfectly so if you don’t want to very high end amplifier this is perfect choice as per price and quality. In fact my amplifier is overloaded but I usually listen to music on very slow volume so it’s fine otherwise I have to install another amplifier as well.

Highly recommended! Please read this review carefully as it contains essential information that other reviews miss. I initially thought about giving this a 1-star rating due to some difficulties, but I believe that with the right setup, this can be a 5-star product, especially considering its price. I was searching for an affordable, high-quality 4-channel amplifier to power two front speakers and a subwoofer. My past experience with Blaupunkt was great, so I had high hopes. However, the setup process was a bit of a nightmare. I did eventually get it to work, but it's not straightforward. The watts per channel seemed a bit underpowered at first, but it does work properly when you take some extra steps using Y splitters. Surprisingly, even when sharing channels in mono mode, the sound is amazing. This amp is primarily illustrated in the manual to be used for either 2-4 speakers or 1-2 subwoofers, but the manual lacks crucial information on how you can combine speakers and subs. It was completely unknown on how it could handle both speakers and a subwoofer, but with my first attempt I managed to make it half work by combining my front speakers into the same channel and the sub on a separate channel. It's not ideal, but it sounds great even though they were underpowered using only the two channel switch. Thankfully I learned how to do it properly on the second attempt with RCA Y Splitters and using it with the 4 channel switch. The lack of channels can make it challenging if you want to power speakers and a subwoofer, and the manual doesn't clarify this. I spent hours/days experimenting with different setups, and eventually, we found a solution. It requires getting two Y Splitters female to two males, switching to 4-channel, and then connecting the sub to the bottom row (channel B) on terminals 1 and 3 and the speakers to the top row (channel A) using terminals 1 and 2 for the right speakers and 2 and 3 for the left speakers. Eureka! Before finally getting the correct layout it was still unclear if my setup was bridged or underpowered, the sound quality was at that point still excellent with minimal static. Let it be known that adjusting settings like HFP, LFP, and GAIN is crucial. Support from Blaupunkt is virtually nonexistent, and the manual is lacking unless you're using it for regular speakers only or subs only. Unfortunately, there are no comprehensive online reviews of this product so here is my contribution because it’s an amazing amplifier especially for the price. In conclusion, it delivers excellent sound and volume for the price, but it could have been more user-friendly. As mentioned I've successfully used RCA Y splitters to merge the inputs from the head unit into all four inputs on the amplifier, which significantly improved performance. This 4 channel amplifier is extremely powerful. The bass output from this amp is amazing. There is clarity in bass. Moreover, its build quality is 10/10. According to me if anyone is looking for a budget friendly amplifier and also needs great output. Go with this without even thinking.

Powerful and quiet

Not bad. It works, puts a little extra into the speakers.

Product worked great, eventually stopped working. preout/rca has bad connection to board. When wiggled around it comes on.
