I’m always interested in trying natural remedies, so I was curious to try this “drug-free” (and alcohol-free) cough syrup. Although the product photo mentions that the bottle is 4” tall, I was taken aback by how tiny it is compared to my usual 12 oz. bottle of NyQuil. However, the dosage is only 5 mL (1 tsp), so this tiny bottle contains about 20 doses ($1.50/dose). For comparison, NyQuil’s dosage is 30 mL (2 TBSP), so a 12 oz. bottle of NyQuil (around $9) contains about 12 doses ($0.75 cents/dose). The bottom line is, this product is twice as expensive as NyQuil.The taste was interesting — sort of sour, sort of berry, sort of minty and sort of tangy-metallic. It doesn’t taste terrible (and certainly not as mediciney and overpowering as NyQuil), but didn’t quite live up to its “great taste” claim. Luckily, the dosage is small.As for the effectiveness, this product did help calm my cough. I’m not sure it works quite as well, or as quickly, as NyQuil; however, I think NyQuil’s effectiveness is based as much on its 10% alcohol content (which gives you that “warm all over” feeling) as on its three medicinal ingredients.At twice the cost of NyQuil, this product is pretty pricey, but if you’re looking for a cough syrup which is drug-free and alcohol-free, this might be worth a try.4 stars.

I wanted to like this product, but the spray bottle was broken upon arrival. Buyer beware, this item in non refundable. And I ordered the item on 9/4/23, received on 9/5/23. The expiration is 10/2023. For $20, the expiration should be at least 12 months out from the purchase date.

Since it is cold and flu season, I was interested in trying this to see if it could boost my family's immunity. My son's doctor recommended honey when he had a cough that wouldn't go away, and I have heard a lot of positive things about manuka honey specifically.I like the ingredients this product contains, but, after reading the label, I am very skeptical that it can be effective. It says a serving size is 1 ml (5 sprays), and you only get .302 ML of the whole proprietary blend per serving. For comparison, one teaspoon is about 5 ML. The recommended amount of honey for kids with a cough or sore throat is usually 1/2 to 2 teaspoons depending on age, and 1-2 tablespoons are recommended for adults who want to improve their immunity. This also contains Kakadu Plum Extract, which has a high concentration of Vitamin C, but there is no indication of how much you actually get per serving.I have been trying the spray out for a few days, and I haven't noticed any really positive or negative effects. I'm not sick currently, but it feels slightly soothing when I spray it. The effect isn't lasting though. The spray is reddish and leaves a bit of color in the mouth. It tastes mostly like pomegranate and plum to me. It is lightly fruity sweet, but I don't detect any honey. I think kids like my son who like more natural fruit juices would like the flavor.I will keep trying this out, but as of now, I just don't think this is worth it.Update (12/26/2022): My son had a sore throat, so I had him try this product. This was his first time trying a throat spray, and he really didn't like the feeling. I noticed this brand also has an immunity syrup that has what seems like a more reasonable amount of ingredients. I think that format and dosage would have been a better choice for my family's needs.

An easy to use and effective cough spray that is effective for various cough and throat irritations. Not a whole lot comes out when you spray this, which is probably best for a very young child's throat, but you get enough to coat the throat. It's a mild stream that has a fairly narrow spraying field. The taste is okay. Not great, but not all that bad either. Really not all that strong. Much milder than most other cough and throat sprays and liquids. Should be very easy to administer to a young one.I've tried this on myself and it worked great for what I was experiencing. Sometimes I get these slight coughing spells that aren't really the result of being sick. Just an older person's thing. Sprayed several squirts of this and my coughing totally stopped. Also, I felt a slight coating form around my throat which felt very soothing. Usually, I won't use decongestants, but this was weak enough that it didn't bother me at all. Seems as though it would be safe and fine for a child.Honestly, I really like this cough and throat spray and believe that it would be a good choice for a young child. Can't say that I think that it's going to fully stop a full out cough due to illness, but it should be very soothing to a raw throat and stop some of those coughs. Good for anyone looking for a very mild cough and throat spray.
