I was looking for a sensory toy for my baby. A ball i decided would be best. I came across this one on amazon and it seemed really colourful and the price was good. Delivered the next day, the ball came attached to a card stand. Packaged well. The ball is a good size, not too big or small or heavy either. Its a ball that can be held firmly in both hands. It has a smooth matte feel to it. Each colour spot has a different texture for the baby to feel. When you switch the ball on via the small orange switch, and you tap each colour spot, the ball will light up, music/sounds will come out. The colours are really nice as its not very bright to irritate my babys eyes. My baby really enjoys playing with this. You can remove and replace batteries therefore hours, days, months of play.

The design of the ball is very good with lots of different sensory sections for babies to feel and explore. This does provide some grip but it does have some weight to it so younger babies may struggle. The lights are strong but not too bright. There are two settings, one quieter with more dim lights, the other louder with brighter lights. Very easy to clean as is wipeable. After a few weeks the brighter function has broken and just keeps flashing and the sounds glitch. Not great considering the ball is likely to have heavy use, so generally not as durable as I think it should be.

I bought it for my son with severe special needs and he loved it at first when he found out that you just tap ball and it will light up (as long as it is set on 'ON').. It is not loud, which is good, if you set it on the lower sound. It has 3 settings, off, low, higher. When you turn the ball on, it will light up and play a few second tune and a child voice will tell the colour it is lit on. If you leave it, the next colour won't start, you have to tap the ball again and repeat. So basically, it is not a continuous lighting. Which after a while, my son lost interest. I put only 3 stars because the ball should have an option to be on silent and just on continuous light, like a night light. Because the lights are dim, they would not disturb a child if left on a side table. Also, the batteries used are cell buttons and I do not like them. I would have preferred either AAA or AA but it is a question of preference. It does not affect the performance of the toy. In my opinion, it will not keep a child's attention for too long but if you bought it with other sounds and effect toys, it would be nice as the quality and finish of this toy are excellent. .

It activates by soft touch which is great for my 10mth old. She loves it. Not too loud and plenty of textures and light.

Ordered this and the first was faulty. Amazon sent a replacement - same day and it was faulty again with the same fault. Frustrating.

I bought this for my son as he has a thing at the moment with rolling and pushing, he has a few balls I bough from the pound shop, that flash. However this is quite sizey which is great as my son is 10 months its about 8 Inches big. It plays sounds and changes mood lights which are fantastic in the dark. The sounds aren’t too intrusive or annoying like most musical toys. The only downside is the music has to play when lights are on, ideally I would have had one or other and both as an option. But all in all great sensory toy that my son really likes
