I recently started a new hobby to grow some of my own vegetables and herbs. I started with a kit that included some of these soil disks and absolutely loved the convenience and ease of these disks. I went out and bought these for future use. They store so easily and are easy to use when I’m ready to plant.

Soil Pellets are fabulous. They speed up the process when planting seeds in 72 cell planters. I place the palettes level, addd water to loosen soil. Then sprinkled seeds followed my covering with soil. It took me 1/4 of the time it had in the past.

First off, these are very small. I read the other reviews and thought id give it a try anyways- i was shocked by how small these actually were. 2nd, it doesnt come with anything to tell you how much water each disc needs, so be cautious not to make it too soggy. I would suggest adding perlite and orchid bark to give it better drainage and overall texture because this is very fine ground. Is it worth the money?, yes i guess you get what you pay for. Overall im okay with it because compressed dirt is compressed dirt. But definitely add in something else to go with your plant's specific needs. It did not take long for the water to absorb at all. Which is great, some ive seen take 20-30 minutes to fully expand. These were done within 2-3 minutes. I would definitely buy again, but now i will know what extras i have to get to make it better for my plants needs. 1 disc makes about a quarter cup of soil when full expanded! It took 6 or 7 of them to fill two 3x3 inch pots so expect to go through all 50 very quickly if you are a plant hoarder like i am!

They’re really easy to use and they expand nicely and large. I used 6 in each medium/large pot on top of my potting mix. I would buy them again. 👍

My cat grass grew very fast and nice.
