Q: What is the exact model/part number of this Protimeter?

The unit we purchased is Protimeter Mini - General Purpose Moisture Meter, I arrange a damp investigation and remedial works training session for my team and this has proved to be a very good first test device which either informs that it is not dampness, or to make further tests.All in all a very good bit of kit to have in the tool box.

Q: is this for use on concrete floors

Hello, the meter shows the actual percent moisture content of wood (in % MC) and uses this scale to calculate the level of moisture in concrete, dry wall and other building materials as a wood moisture equivalent (WME). Q: Is this ok for home surveys to check walls (concrete)?

This is ideal for carrying out basic surveys of wood and other building materials that are not contaminated with salts or nitrates. If you want to test concrete we would not recommend this as Relative Humidity (RH) would be the preferred method or a calcium carbide test.
