I was in 2 minds, the price is bit too high, but, if it lasts 10 years then it will be worth the price.That said, it is a superb soldering iron - I have specific difficulties with soldering irons due to disability, but I can use this much more easily than a standard type due to its shape and weight, it is very light and very well balanced, which makes finding the contact point an easier task even for me.Heating is very fast, even over USB; works very well over both USB and 12V (make sure your cables and power, USB or 12V, can handle the current!)Tips are great (as long as they are kept clean, of course), heat transfer is fast, and temperature is well maintainedSo far this is the best purchase I have made in a very long time - I hope it lasts for years ... if it doesn't, all of the above praise is void; the world doesn't need any more plastic waste from products made with no consideration of a decent life span. Time will tell, fingers crossed, etc
