Easy Tarot: Learn to Read the Cards Once and for All
In case of Tarot, I'm a complete beginner. I knew of course that "Tarot" card existed, but nothing more than that - and it took me a while to figure out the best way to start "playing" with those cards (too many books, too many reviews to go through, too many options - wasn't exactly sure where to start). Finally, after a long search I've decided to buy this particular "set", and I have to say that I don't regret it. The package (a small box) contains the whole set of Tarot cards, a small book about Tarot and something that looks like a poster of "The Celtic Cross" spread (not really necessary, but still a nice "touch"). Cards: Good quality, very beautiful drawings, much larger than standard playing card - size: 12cm by 7cm (4.7" by 2.5"). Bear in mind that they are different than classic Arthur Waite cards (but then again, those are good enough to use for the beginners) and as the author is saying in the book: "those already familiar with the Rider-Waite deck, should feel quite comfortable in using the Gilded Tarot" (by all means, it is not a negative point for me - but you could have a different preference here). Book: Truly great material there, containing probably everything that you need to know - as a beginner - about Tarot: how it works, a lot of information about cards and their meanings (minor & major arcana description), various connections between them, how to read them, most common spreads (such as The Cross of Truth, The Nine Card Spread, The Celtic Cross, The Life Spread and the Anchor), and major and minor arcana "cheat sheets" (very useful for the beginners). In overall: a good reading material, easy to understand and follow, about 220 pages and 6 parts in total, and a little bit of drawings here and there. If you are completely new to Tarot, I would suggest buying this set and the accompanying book. It's a perfect combo to get you started with simple readings. I've been going through the examples for quite a while now, and have to say that everything is very easy explained and easy to do. The only thing I slightly miss from the book, is a little bit more examples of various spreads -> but this is not a negative point for me as the book (in overall) is very good (and many more examples can be found on the internet). I think my next set will be a set of classic Arthur Waite cards - as everybody should have one of those in their collection - but this one is a perfect starting point for anybody interested in Tarot. Simply the best
Hello to all tarot lovers :)) It was my first set of cards I ever bought in back 2009. I just got a new and fresh set. Over the years I bought many other decks and books but for me this is the best. For a good price you get a book that shows you the easy to follow method how to develop as a tarot reader not just by memorizing meaning of the cards but developing your own relationship with cards and yes it takes time but it is so worth it and you also get a beautiful set of cards and a paper sheet with Celtic cross spread to help you memorize positions of this spread, very helpful if you newbie, if you decide to buy this set I hope you well enjoy it as much as I do :) The 2 photos I attach are showing cards after one week of gentle use, I have many different decks and these cards are using quickly I would say comparing to my other decks, I don't mind and I still love them the same but for many people the card stock is very important and marks on cards are not that welcomed, so you know and won't be disappointed if you decide to buy those, hope it helps :)

Stunning deck by Ciro Marchetti and a really helpful book by Josephine Ellershaw
The Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti is my favourite and I bought my first deck of it back in 2006. The graphics on each card really are beautiful and having seen others that are digitally produced, I've found many flat and just lacking something but not these. They're alive and convey so much and even after 11 years they don't disappoint. Size-wise they are not the large cards so easier to hold and shuffle and the card quality is good - my first set still has no corner separation after a lot of use. The book that comes with this particular deck by Josephine Ellershaw, offers different interpretations to the book with the original deck when it was launched. I really liked that original book and although small(ish), it helped me develop and tune into the cards so I was expecting Ms Ellershaw's book to be quite similar but it's not! and her interpretions are wonderful, with a lot more to offer and inspire. I really started to expand my own interpretations after working with this book and can only sing its praises for being so helpful and insightful. In 2006 I was a complete novice to the tarot and this deck was my first learning tool so for beginners I can highly recommend it and for experienced tarot readers I would recommend too because there is always something new to learn and this deck keeps giving, guiding and inspiring. This is a lovely marriage of cards and book through someone who has obviously taken the time to work with each card and whose written guidance feels true.

Very attractive cards
These are exactly what they say - a good beginners set. They are beautifully drawn cards and explained so that you remember them very quickly. I taught someone to get started with this set in a couple of hours because the symbolism is so memorable. The cards are a good size - not too big - and the card stock is adequate. They're not as thick as my own deck but neither are they so flimsy that they will rip easily. I think if the card stock was improved though you would easily be paying double the amount because the cards really are nice on both sides. I would say this is a more optimistic deck that the one I am used to. In the set is the card deck, a great little book and a sheet that has the card layout printed on it to make it extra easy for beginners. Overall it is good value for money and a great present. I'd happily buy this again.

Exactly what it says on the tin
This book is absolutely brilliant for anyone who wants to take up the art of tarot. With the easy guide and beautiful illustration of the cards, it easily explains tactics to help you remember but to also read the cards individually and as a whole. It clearly points out the explanation of the cards in correspondence to the picture and also encourages you to keep a diary and read out aloud as you are writing for better effectiveness in memory. It also comes with a cheat sheet at the back just in case you become absent minded (which I guarantee you won't) I recommend 110% to anyone who would like to explore divination in this way. Since taking up the tarot I have predicted pregnancies, forewarned against confrontations and arguments, pass/failing at tests etc. I couldn't have done this without this book. Once you start using them for personal and outer readings, it really builds your trust in the cards. Foretold it forewarned - these cards will change your life. Highly HIGHLY recommended.

Would recommend
I've got a few tarot decks now, but this is by far my favourite deck. It's brilliant for beginners or the more advanced; and is a truly stunning deck with beautiful energy; and the booklet gives clear understanding/ meanings to the cards. I can't recommend this enough, especially for beginners looking for their first deck. The cards are so easy to use and shuffle too, not too big or small to hold. I really cannot find any fault with this deck whatsoever; worth every penny!
