I was a bit sceptical about this cream but I tried it on a test patch of shingles on my arm and when compared to areas where I did not apply it I found that the cream was very effective at reducing itching and the spots themselves. Would recommend.

I had Shingles 15 years ago (after major surgery) and the first blisters appeared on the back of my right knee. I still have a visible, slightly raised, white scar - and for it to show up white on my atomic-white skin must mean that it's very, VERY white.When I'm feeling run down I sometimes get a stinging / tingling sensation on the back of my knee, from the nerves behind this scar. I take that as a warning signal and immediately try and take better care of myself, early to bed and so on.This last couple of weeks I've had this sensation behind my knee, up the back of my thigh and on the sole of my foot - which is a worry. Have been applying this cream and it certainly makes it feel better and gets me back to sleep.Just crossing my fingers that it doesn't fully develop as I still remember how bad it was the first time around.

My dad has diabetes and has awful itching nerve hands. He's tried everything. This has relieved the itch hugely. He still gets it between his fingers a bit but he was scratching til he was raw and bruised and bleeding before.

It soothed although whether it did any good I have no idea - I think the pills fixed the attack and the ointment helped calm the itching but who knows.

I am surprised at the efficacy of this ointment. It has really helped the shingles on my face which were so itchy and painful.

Having suffered the nerve damage caused by shingles for the past year this product did not seem to help as hoped.
