SGR by Schecter C-1 Electric Guitar - Electric Blue

I've had this guitar now for nearly 2 years and I thought I would give a better all round review, now that I have a better feel for it. It's a really nice looking, solidly made instrument. The neck has a lovely action and feel to it. I love the bridge; lots of room for your picking hand to manoevure around. It has a real bassy sound, especially from the neck pickup, but I like that. Very heavy distorted sound with overdrive. I've been playing it through a Boss Katana 50 recently (wow, what an amp!) To me, it is well worth the price and to my mind it looks like it should cost more. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and have had quite a few electric guitars. This is as good as some that have cost nearly 3 times as much. I play it most days and I just really like the feel of it. I bought some F one oil to oil the rosewood neck as it can dry out and it worked a treat. Yes, there are much better, more expensive guitars out there, but the fact that I want to play it regularly must say something. Buy yourself a good amp to play it through ( as mentioned, highly recommend the Boss Katana). I like reading the reviews on a product. They are helpful. Hope this helps you!

Arrived on time, adequately packaged. Purchased as an Amazon Warehouse deal at approximately 38% discount on normal price. Described by seller as "as new" . Not blemish free on inspection. Due to the discounted price I can overlook the minor aesthetic shortcomings which are not obvious from a distance but can be seen when handling the instrument. From the practical and player viewpoint, once you quickly become accustomed to the 24 fret neck, this is an excellent instrument, well balanced, not too heavy, comfortable to hold and play with a well shaped and contoured body and neck, reliable tuners, possibly Ernie Ball Slinky strings, with versatile sounds from the twin humbucker pick-ups. The natural sustain (when played unplugged) is very good.

Absolute bargain i have a Schecter c6 already and the quality well its definitely not a fake i could tell as soon as i touched the neck and body it had the feel my other Schecter has. So happy i bought this i got it in 2 days not a single scratch on the guitar very well packaged. Neck profile is near enough the same as my c6 pickups are great got the Schecter tone. Im really happy. Best guitar you can get on Amazon.

String broke after just 1 day of use. Never seen that happen with any other guitar bought. Disappointing, everything else about this guitar is very good. Just a bit of a let down the string broke after less than a day of being bought.

Having been a hobby guitar player for the past nearly 6 years, I have previously owned a cheap Career Stratocaster, a more expensive LAG Arkane A200, and this falls brilliantly in the middle. The price is astonishing for the quality. I have the satin black finish, amazing look. As long as you oil the fretboard and change the strings upon arrival, this is truly a great guitar. Nice tone, comfortable playing, nothing to complain. Great first guitar for that metal enthusiast. And you can always brag that you have a Schecter...

I only have this guitar since may and I really loved it (still do in some point)Just recently discovered first damage on it - after couple of months!Have a look in the pics (white dot)It’s still playable, still decent guitar ... but, for little over £200 I’ve paid for it in may (today around £150 😱) I didn’t expect to have such a silly, annoying defects - I really care about my guitars and I never had anything like that. So I am assuming it’s just quality issue. Disappointed by Schecter ...

everything was going well until the string broke, disappointing.

Excellent guitar. They say it's a starter guitar but I reckon it's good enough to play a few live gigs. I've played it at band practice a few times and it's been great. Good pick ups and it never goes out of tune
