Caran Dache Metal tin with 30 assorted colours

These pencils are lovely and soft and work well with other coloured pencils. The colour lays down well on the paper and blends easily to create other colours and shading. This picture is my first with this product. I really like the Caran d’Ache pencil range. My only niggle is that once you’ve bought a tin the only way to build up a full set without duplication is to buy individual pencils.

The pencils arrived promptly and were well packaged. I cannot describe the sheer brilliance of these pencils. They glide over paper. I'm not an artist just like to colour in but I like good products for that. I have the Caran D'Ache Pablos too and combined with Polychromos, my pictures look better and they don't break or need to be sharpened a lot. Lovely range of colours too. The Faber-Castell water colour pencils are cheaper but nothing compares with Caran D'Ache. If u can afford them, buy them. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love these pencils & often when I haven't space to take much away with me these are my first choice, not just for sketching & recording colours to use in later works, but for actually producing finished pieces- regardless of the chosen subject. I also love the fact that the colours I use the most are easily replaced individually. I started off with a small set, then bought the big size as funds permitted & after finding them so useful. Initially I kept the smaller set just for spares but when a lovely art student was watching me draw one day & expressed such keen interest I decided to pass them on to her as I know they will bring her much joy & give her a great start. The pencils are really smooth to work with, soft but not 'gooey' as others I've tried, whilst the pigments are beautifully rich & layer wonderfully. I find that they allow me to capture skin tone, light in the way I wish & in a similar way to my painting style even when harnessing just the 'pencil' element of these water soluble pencils. I've added a couple of photos to try & show what I mean. They deliver stunning effects on most mediums, I particularly like the results that can be achieved using water colour paper, tinted & dark pastel papers, & wood based surfaces , although to be fair there aren't any mediums I haven't achieved great results from after a little practice. These really are a joy to use & I have happily demonstrated & recommended them to others ... & no I do not receive my pencils free or subsidised, or get paid by any company to review or 'push' a product. I am simply a self employed artist that enjoys sharing arty know how with anyone like minded- after all it is far too easy to waste money on products that simply are not up to the job. Personally I could have saved hundreds of £'s over the years if not thousands if someone had just passed on why they thought some products were better or worse than others. I hope you find this review useful in finding the right pencils to suit your arty needs.

I own a lot of Caran D Ache pencils. I also own Faber Castel & Prisma Color. In my opinion, the Caran D'Ache pencils are superior in quality. They never disappoint! The colours are beautiful, blendable, creamy. I just hope they have even more colours in the box....

I realised too late I had probably over reached my abilities when buying these. I have now tried using them and indeed found it very hard going. I haven't tried to use watercolour pencils before so it wasn't going to be easy but watching people on YouTube they make it look so simple. I am also finding these particular pencils very soft so getting details is difficult with them. I do wish I had been able to return them but for a number of reasons I am unable to return large items

Great pencils, wonderful pigments and nice hand grip. Although the tips are soft they are strong enough to handle some pressure. My daughter (11) has had other watercolor pencils brands and is thrilled with these. As to the delivery it arrived within the estimated delivery time and it was well packed. Overall it's really worth 5 stars.

These artists crayons are a far superior experience to use than ordinary coloured crayons. The range of colours is amazing and they mix and layer well on the page.

They are the best water pencils out there in my opinion. Wonderful blending qualities. I have a set of my own so these are for my granddaughter. Best price I could get them for and a fantastic delivery service.

queste matite acquarellabili sono tra le migliori che abbia utilizzato. le compro da quando sono piccola e ora le regalo a mia figlia che studia arte. le supracolor sono morbide e il colore può essere facilmente sfumabile. qualità adatta ad artisti.
