Best idea for an outdoor/ pool shower
Too early to tell about longevity. I received this and was able to set it up outside next to my pool quickly. Only downside is that you have to get a 1/2” G Thread (BSP) Female to 3/4” GHT Male Connector adapter so as to use it on your garden hose. Also the shower head holder packaging was a little difficult to remove and did not come with mounting screws. It blows all the solar water heater options out of the water. We have had two popular types and after a couple gallons of use maybe one or two people would have warmish water and the rest suffer. This is on demand- as soon as the water starts to flow, the heat kicks in. The temperature adjustment is easy. The LED read out is great. The flow rate is excellent just like an indoor shower. I used quick connect fittings to my outside faucet and hung it up on part of my trellising for a raised garden next to my pool. I do not plan this as a permanent amount as I’m not sure how waterproof it is especially in Florida rainy weather and it would hardly be used in the winter.I may build a stand with a waterproof box depending on how often we use the pool this summer as I do not wish to mount it on my house walls. For camping and portability, I will probably attache a handle- it is not heavy or overly bulky, but it’s inconvenient to move with other equipment. After I disconnect the hose, it would be nice to not have to also disconnect the gas, but hold it via a handle in one hand and the gas tank in another. It has impressed my spouse with the ease of use and I’ll update this review with some videos if it continues to function well.

Just don't do it.
Intended to install this unit on my sailboat. Let's go through why this was a horrible decision. On initial opening of the box, the unit was scratched and dented on several corners and surface rust on some of the pipes, but I did not mind since it was going to be hidden out of sight. After connecting the unit, I was greeted with a "E5" error code. Instructions said that the "E5" error was for a faulty solenoid valve, so I removed, disassembled, cleaned, and put it back to no avail. So, I contacted the seller to get guidance on what to do next. The seller stated that it was a "wind sensor" issue and not what the Instructions said, so I did the same process on the "wind sensor" to no avail. I ended up adding connecting jelly from a spark plug install kit to all of the electrical connections on the device and that made the "E5" error code go away. Now, the system refused to ignite and began to leak on the inside. There was larged puddles of water underneath the unit and in the pilot area. After disassembling that I found it to be poorly constructed, and the components did not properly fit in place. Regardless of this I was determined to make it start, so I did my best to clean and reassemble. When I spoke with the seller last they had stated that the new "E1" ignition failure error I am getting is actually the water pressure. I am giving up on this product and tossing it in the trash. The build quality of this unit is horrible. The internal components are reused from other devices and do not properly fit in this unit. The manual does not represent the proper causes and fixes for the error codes. And finally, the seller does not provide any assistance for solving any issues.Do not recommend this product or company, please look elsewhere.

A good tankless water heater for the price..
I am a dealer and buy many of these water heaters and they are usually always good. But this last order of four had two that failed the "dry test" This is where I put new batteries in and activate the micro switch with a screwdriver. This will cause the igniters to start making sparks and I can hear the solenoid open to let the gas in to the burners. But on two of the units the igniters made the clicking noise, but there was no loud "clank" from the gas solenoid. The valve was not opening to let the gas into the burners. I had to remove the solenoid and lubricate the rubber plunger with silicone lubricant. Then I manually depressed the plunger a couple of times and it finally started working properly.I replaced the solenoid and it tested fine after that. My guess is that these water heaters were kept in storage for a long time causing the spring loaded plunger on the solenoid to get stuck. Anyway they are both working normally now, but I thought I should pass this on..

Works great
Works awesome. We use it at our cabin outdoor shower where it is connected with Peks to a water tank with pump. It will be out all summer. Only negative is the chimney is not a standard size so it is difficult to put some pipe and a top on it to keep leaves and acorns out of it.

Works quite well!... With caveats
Works fine. You will need adapters, as mentioned in other reviews, and the total output is a little less than advertised. But let's be very real: you are looking at this model right now because you want to save a few bucks. This will do exactly that, as long as you don't expect it to work overtime, or perform like something that costs triple.Consider using it in a low-demand environment like a mother-in-law apartment, or off-grid cabin.I do not know if it is fire-resistant, but it has performed well in our application, without showing any signs of breakdown. The temperature control is super easy, and the water temperature is roasty-toasty (>135 degrees Fahrenheit)Like most appliances, try to baby it a little bit (not to push it much beyond 60-80% load), and thank me later.
