These are such good fun and great value for money. They are very easy to use. Just apply to wet hair. I actually kept a small glass of water next to me and dipped the chalk into that to get a more vibrant colour.They work well on dark hair as well as light and there is a really good choice of colours.I didn’t find them messy at all and they washed out very easily. Great fun for parties

WOW.. firstly the chalks arrived the next day and came well packaged. I was pleasantly surprised when opening to find the variety of chalk colours. I originally bought the chalks to colour my children’s hair red for Red Nose Day at school, so to find numerous shades of red was very helpful considering my children have different shades of hair.As soon as my boys had spotted the chalks the inevitable question was asked ‘can we try them now?’ I was glad I did. I tried them on towel dried hair first, this didn’t work to well so I sprayed their hair with a little more water, this worked a treat! I have a blonde haired boy and a very dark (almost black) haired boy, the colour actually showed up better on the darker hair! We are really excited about going red tomorrow!.These chalks are a fantastic buy especially for the price, I highly recommend.

So I bought this set to use for a costume party, there were 5 of us, admittedly all with fairly short hair. Ok fine, 4/5 were guys. Either way, looks like we could colour all our hair once again! There's plenty of chalk left, although we broke a few.I had read through the reviews and expected more difficulty with dark hair (I have thick, black hair) and as predicted, it didn't really show. It did show on everyone else's shorter, lighter hair. Also the chalk was a lot easier to rub into short hair on the scalp than holding long hair in your hand.We found the best way to do it was to wet our hair, but also wet the chalk a bit before rubbing it in. Watch out to not wet the part that you're holding or it just transfers to your hand, or worse all melts and you can't hold it. Blow dry afterwards, but expect some really kinky, dry hair, but no need to use styling product. That said, after blow drying, it does rub off on clothes a bit.. It did take a few rounds of shampoo to get out, but I don't know what you'd expect from putting chalk in your hair.TL:DR It is messy, as most hair colouring is, but temporary and loads of colourful fun!

Lovely selection of colours which my 5 years old daughter loved. Easy to apply, just wet hair that you want to colour and run the chalk down hair until you get the desired colour then dry with either hair straighteners or a hairdryer and brush. Can be a bit messy though so use an old towel to cover your clothes and wipe your hands on. Did produce rather a lot of powder when I brushed my daughters hair so have a vacuum cleaner at the ready and also make sure that you wash your hair before you go to bed as it will rub off on your sheets and pillow. Overall great for temporary colour that won't damage your hair.

Got these to use on my hair during lock down to fight the itch of dying it bright colours as currently highlighted blonde.Washed my hair and have put a selection of colours in and quite pleased. Feel this is a two man job and that I should have followed the 'place a towel round your neck' direction on the pack (it's kinda blue now, but wipes off)They do dry your hair out, but that's common with chalk so maybe don't so multi colour whole heads 🤣🤣🤦But colours have come out really well.Will see how they wash out..... apparently they do......Going to practice this over the next few weeks of lockdown to perfect a technique and see if I can prevent the dryness 🤣😁

Chalks were nicely packaged and instructions were useful. I found that they worked best when my hair was quite wet and when I pulled down from the root. They look darker when wet so put on more than you think you need. I have light hair and the darker colours seemed to work best- I used white but that didn't do much other than slightly lighten the hair. Black however was pretty dark! It was a fairly speedy process too for decent results. Only real drawback other than the light colours not showing up too well was that they made my hair incredibly dry.

Bought these for my daughter for Christmas... she has auburn hair. Obviously the colours will work exceptionally well if you have blonde hair but that said they are still very effective and she afford them.She has the most beautiful hair (auburn and curly), but being a red head gets picked on a little at school, she's been asking to dye her hair (aged 9). I bought these as a distraction and as a bit of fun, it's worked!They are easy to use, though do use gloves when applying. Wash out brilliantly.

These are fantastic!!Easy to useColours are brightWork on dark hair!Tips:damp hair before use.A ponytail works best to apply over.Have a bowl of water at the side, quickly dip the chalk into the water before stroking it onto the hair.Use a hairdryer on a low setting and blow in the direction of the hair (so it doesn’t move hair out of position too much)Use a little hairspray to stop it transferring onto hands and clothes too much.BUY BUY BUY-you won’t be disappointed.And...no I’m not being paid to leave this review, I just feel this product deserves a thumbs up!
