Appears well made.The ripple effect is produced by a low-noise revolving-multi-faceted-lens. This has four speeds; off, gentle, brisk and freneticRemote buttons labled A1..A6 select Red, Green, Blue, White, Green & White (together), and Red & Blue (together) LED's to be on respectively.Button A7 turns B,G,R,W on in a slow repeating sequence. Flash button strobes all-on / all-off, rate controllably but not by much.For clarity I'll continue by using RG=y GB=c RB=m and RGB=w.Music buttons M1 and M2 repeat cycle the following colour selections; /B,G,R,W,c,,m,y,GW,w,GRW,BRW,BGW/, M3 after an initial one-off B has a repeat cycle of eight selections; B/G,R,W,c,m,RGW,w,wW/. They are all triggered by loud transients (hand claps - party music) not soft music.Music 1: Trigger operates next selection in the sequence... OnOff... effect is mostly-off with flashes.Music 2: Sequence auto cycles (OK for ambient effect). Trigger prompts transitions so synchronising the effect to loud music.Music 3: Trigger operates next selection in the sequence... OnOffOn... effect is mostly-on with a pulse.I really like this light fixture, it's of sufficient quality not to look out of place in any application and versatile enough to suit any mood. I'll probably get another one and combine Blue A3 with Green & White A5, both set to gentle, for that perfect 'swimming in the lagoon' ambience.Would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to enhance their 'Chill Space'.

We have these, along with a smoke machine to maximise the laser effect in our living room (totally OTT). It's amazing. Perfect for house party, but maybe need 2+ for a larger area. Only criticism is the plug it comes with... It's garbage, not a legit 3 pin UK plug and probably not up to UK standards.

Needed a new laser as very old one died, RIP. I have a high end pro laser but needed a smaller pattern one, this is excellent really good value for money works great.

used for dance-floor in pub (bar) works really well, great choice of lighting effects to light the dance floor

motor became quickly became detached from the internal gears and the ripple effect no longer worked.
