Spiders. 8 legs, intrusive, always turning up when you least expect them, and they generally make any normal human nervous!Solution. This device. I was extremely sceptical when purchasing. How can noise, that you can't even hear, scare these pests away? Surely pluging a small box into the wall can't alleviate such troubles? Can it?....I live in the country in an old barn conversion. It's like the spiders are angry that people moved in and converted their barn. I've been plagued by the 8 shoed monsters since I moved in, and I've tried everything to exterminate their existence within the property. Sprays, conkers - I was even going to try seance next! But thankfully these little devices popped up.From the off no change and I was really disappointed. Then I saw it takes about 3 weeks to kick in. Time pasted and to my absolute suprise....BOOM! No more spiders. Well, tell a lie, I did see one tiny one the other day, but nothing compared to what I have seen - you know the big horrible one that turn up in the bath!People have mentioned an annoying click in their reviews. Yes they do make a clicking sound every 10 - 20 seconds or so, but if you're a heavy sleeper you won't notice it in the bedroom, and you certainly won't day to day. All I'll say is the blue light which can be switched off is very bright and hard to sleep with.Overall an excellent purchase. Very pleased. Works well with all the other anti spider tricks and a welcome addition to my home.Doesn't work for flys, although I haven't seen as many.

Would give it 5 stars but just found a spider obviously been to the gym huge just hanging above the plug !!! Also it doesn't seem to work for fleas as a review actually said so if that's what your getting it for it doesn't work on fleas . I have 6 cats and although I de flea them obviously they bring them in from the garden . I thought this would get rid of everything from fleas to spiders - so far only one huge spider seen and quite a few fleas . I've only had this plugged in for three weeks so maybe it's early days but a little disappointed it doesn't work on fleas - is there one that does ?update -does not get ri of fleas and the spiders are back after two weeks !!UPDATE - had this a year and it does not work do not waste your money my cats mixed with neighbours cats and brought in fleas i thought no problem i have this - the fleas have multiplied - maybe its psychological but if i take them out the wall will i get more ? would like my money back as i have tried them for nearly a year and i think thats a good enough time to test something

Hi, this doesn't work. We just got back from the holiday to find out that mice have moved in. I've immediately purchased this product. In the evening, we heard rattling in the cupboard and the next day I've plugged this product in the cupboard. But I've also put a mice trap. The following day, mice was in trap. So this product totally failed to keep mice away! If there is chance to return it I would but you do have a chance to look elsewhere as it is total waste of money!!! I had been considering a purchase of these for some time. Don't have a real problem with any pests but with summer coming up you get the usual increase in flies, ants, flees and mosquito bites, all the things you can do without in the nice weather. Not to mention the spiders coming in when it rains and even when we don't see them you always notice the cobwebs on the ceiling and round the lights. Anyway, after reading what this claims to get rid of I thought it was surely worth a try if only to stop bites. On opening the box there was 2 devices both with 3 pin UK plugs and instruction manual. After reading the short guide one was placed in the kitchen and the other in the Hall. Both appeared to flash the same with the green light staying on all the time, yellow flashes with the red, and then red flashes on its own. The night light can be switched on with the top button or controlled with the light sensor, so both working correctly. Having only had these for a couple of days it's difficult to honestly say just how good these work, what I have noticed is my cat looked at one and just walked on undisturbed so no problem there. Others have mentioned a clicking noise and yes it is there and can be heard on both every 8 seconds. If you are purchasing for a bedroom then this is a big problem at night and needs to be addressed in their next model. Build quality is fine.I will write an update on these in about 4 weeks, enough time to see what they can do. I am really hoping these work well as I'd be happy to purchase more for different rooms, shame about the non-bedroom use.

I purchased this mainly because I hate spiders and I have had something similar previously but I needed an update.The ProsThe delivery was very quick and once out of the box they are ready to use.They have a night light which is great in a hallway at night if you have children.They cause no harm to the environment, and they are OK to use with dogs and cats.If you have hamsters, or pet gerbils or the like Do Not use these, this would also include indoor rabbits.I have had these plugged in for a week now and have not seen a spider and it seems to deter the flies from the kitchen also.These units are for indoor use onlyThe Cons -You will need to wait between 1 - 3 weeks to see a result.In the details above it states - EFFECTIVE WHOLE HOME PROTECTION UP TO 5000 SQ.FT but in the instruction manual you are recommended to have one in every room and depending on your property size so this could become expensive.One of the units is in my kitchen and you can see from the photo that you are unable to get to the switch when plugged in.I hope this review helps and I would be happy to answer any questions on the above.
