did what it was supposed to do.
Made a new recipe using bulgur which I've not used before. It performed well. Making blending easy and was tasty in recipe. The quality was good, well priced, and fresh.

A healthy grain
I've been trying new whole grains and bulgar wheat was the next on my list. I'm enjoying it very much. It has a nutty taste and is quite versatile: as a cold or hot breakfast cereal with milk, fruit and/or various spices; in vegetable salads; and as a plain or seasoned side dish for options to rice, pasta and other grains, etc. It's so easy to prepare as well. About a half hour before my meal I soak the quantity I'll need in a jar with twice as much boiling water (generally, ½ cup of bulgar wheat and ½ cup of boiling water); it's ready in 25-30 minutes. Depending on what I'm using it for, I'll either reheat it or serve it cold, add it to a recipe or eat it plain. I've even made it the night before to use as overnight "oats" - hot or cold - with fruit.I've now set the bulgar wheat up on Subscribe & Save because I'm using it regularly, along with other grains that I've tried.

Bulger is just cracked wheat with a toothy/chewy texture that you can add your favorite toppings to. Or just plain.The flavor is mild, sort of earthy mild. I just add salt and olive oil when making it plain. My personal favorite toppings are diced avocados. You can add so many things that you can have bulger salad without the greens.Basically it's great to have on hand, very quickly cooks from the bowling water, covered in foil. Add leftovers and you have a meal. Use it in tacos instead of meat!

Bulgar wheat on Amazon!
I have no longer been able to find this product in grocery stores. I tried Amazon on a whim and this was perfect. I nice quantity for a very reasonable price. Much less expensive than shopping the health food stores.
