I needed a cable to run outside along the house wall and soffit for a POE NVR cctv camera. This cable has been perfect for the job, it has a quality feel and is tough with its additional outer sleeve. Despite the extra sleeve it is still durable enough to bend around things without being damaged. I had to cut off the supplied RJ45s due to running it through some small holes, crimping on a couple of new ones was straight forward and the additional outer coat caused no issues.

Really good cable, my husband used it to hard wire a tv from the house to our bar in the garden. Worked perfectly. The price was really reasonable too. Would recommend

I went for this deal, as my old tool for RJ45 connectors is worn-out, and this deal offered both the cable and the tool. What I needed most was the cable for outdoor use, and the cable is great. It has a double sheath, and you have to trim back the outer one for the cable to fit in a standard RJ45, as it would be too thick otherwise. The tool supplied however is NOT the one pictured on the product when I bought it. The one they showed was the cheap "single" type (with red handles). What arrived was the normally more expensive "double" type (with green handles). The tool however is completely useless, as the RJ45 connector does not go into the tool far enough. It hits the end stop before the pins align with the comb for pressing. Also RJ45 connectors have a snap-in to lock the cable in place, this does not align properly either. It is possible to crimp with the connector inserted from the wrong side, but this crushes the retaining clip, which then needs stretching back into place. I may be able to modify the tool to make it work, but I will allow a while for the seller to read and respond first. Also supplied was a cable stripper (yellow thing in pictures). This is a great tool which dies it's job without affecting the cable cores. I have not used the cable ties, but they were supplied as advertised.

Heard all about the bad press that CCA cable gets, decided to try this out after reading about the SKIN EFFECT that wires use; where signal is transmitted on the outer surface of a conductor rather then the inside of the conductor. since the outer surface of the conductor is copper I thought to myself it should work as normal cable. Low and behold ran the full box of cable and I am getting full transmission speed, I have a 240mb package with my ISP this wire can handle it plus gigabit connection to my other wired devices with only 4ms of latency.. In my research I also heard that aluminium wire is prone to snapping, sometimes inside the wire itself, I didn't have that problem. Full stars will do the job for normal house wiring, dont listen to the perfectionists who think they need server grade performance.

I bought this to provide a wired CCTV link to an area not covered by Wi Fi. I ran it 55 meters to the building and it works fine, I intend to bury the cable in the ground at some point so I can’t comment on how it performs and lasts underground, but so far, so good. I did notice that one of the plastic end caps that protects the terminals had come loose and I struggled to clip it back in place, but don’t be put off by that. Looks great quality and for the price I’m very pleased.

It works and seems well made, but in my opinion the amount of speed lost is not acceptable. Output of at my router is 280mb — speed ad the end of this cable is 90mb. Not good. Ethernet should be good up to approx 100m before seeing much loss - so to lose two-thirds of the speed over 75m is not good enough. Most people will be fine with the cable - but for those that require higher speeds might be best to look elsewhere. I’ll be returning the item for refund and looking elsewhere.

Das Kabel wurde für eine Videoüberwachung benutzt und ist von guter Qualität. Dafür, dass das Kabel für den Außenbereich beworben wird, sollten die Stecker wenigstens ein Gehäuse haben. Die Stecker taugen allenfalls für Cat.5e im Innenbereich. Die Stecker wurden allerdings gegen hochwertigere Cat 6 mit Gehäuse und Schirmanschluss ausgetauscht. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Quality

Eines vorweg, ich habe einige Rollen gekauft und diese auch verlegt. Daher kann ich bestätigen, die Kabel sind sehr robust und machen einen soliden Eindruck. Wichtig ist, wer "kurze" Nerven hat sollte sich in jedem Fall etwas zur Beruhigung verabreichen sofern er das 50m Kabel oder länger verlegt, denn diese sind besonders widerspenstig. Beim Verlegen hat es sich bewährt, das Kabel vorher abzuwickeln und langzuziehen, dadurch konnte ich den Drang des Kabels unterbrechen sich wieder einzuwickeln.

Cable ok. Contacts ok. Since it's approved for outdoors according to the information I thought the contacts would be molded, they aren't. Thus water can get in to the contacts.
