Good but can be better....
Instructions aren't very good. I've tried using 12 sheets of 70gsm paper but it struggled with this so have to use less sheets. Can be hit and miss in that some of the holes can be extremely clean and some with bits torn off. It is a dream on plastic sheet covers though. However, if you put the paper directly next to the guide on the left then the bottom hole is right at the end of the sheet of paper so you have to leave a mm or 2 space at the end. It has done well though in that it has served a purpose in what it needs to do. I hope it lasts for a long time as it is a very valuable piece of equipment. Just wish it came with several different sized combs included and would save having to go and buy separate ones which can add up to the costs significantly if it is something that you need to use occasionally.

Interesting toy at a great price.
Instruction booklet could do with a bit more details but no complaint other than that. After punching holes (100 A4 at ten pages a time) I discovered either the idiot who punched the paper or the one who printed the book got it the wrong way round! The holes are on the wrong side! But easy enough - just opened the comb again and punched the other side... wow! interesting... it looks quite good like that... It worked well on the A5 book I printed too - (Switched my brain on this time and got it right). But basically, IT WORKS! I would recommend this comb binding machine to anyone - just don't try using it without putting your brain in gear first. Very easy to use - read some of the other reviews saying it was hard to punch 10 / 12 sheets - must be hellish weak then cause I even punched aluminium litho sheet with it - I don't recommend doing that, however, but just saying it went through it like a hot knife through butter, and its still cutting holes in the paper no problem.

Easy to operate. Adequate, but not great.
Comes well packaged. The punch arm is quite sturdy and punches cleanly. Threading the binders has proved to be problematic and the manual is cheap rubbish and does not show the process clearly. Works with a little trial and error.

Bought last year only used twice
Bought last year only used twice and noticed that the cutters are snapping and now not able to use it as it’s not cutting properly what a waste of money now gotta buy a new one I wouldn’t recommend buying it. Can’t find an option to message company either about it

Easy to use and punch multiple pages
I have used this to bind 5 copies of a 160 page document. Its easy to use and you can punch a fair few pages at once which makes it quicker to do. Once they are all punch, its then easy to place in the comb and bind the pages together. The plastic cover that goes over the punch store does slid open fairly easy, occasionally leaving confetti all over your floor, but that's easy enough to clear up. Definitely worth the money in getting a larger one!

Stick to max or less papers
Really good but if you punch the max it takes some pressure, and don't ignore instruction re plastic fronts, you will waste your money having to throw them away, otherwise a sound machine

Worked for a while, but now I need something more durable
When buying tools and equipment, I tend to take the approach of buying something cheap and if it breaks I'm clearly using it enough to be worth spending a bit more on a decent one. This is why I have a decent hammer drill, but only a brand-you've-never-heard-of jigsaw. I took the same approach here and bought a cheap comb binder. I also bought some metal binding wires. Lesson learned there - that's for a different machine. You'll need the plastic ones to go with this. Anyway, the binder is now dead but has done its job and proven that I need to spend a bit more. It's basic and does the job. There's a little slider on the side for adjusting the margin and it's a bit clunky, but works. There's this little spinny thing that's supposed to make a left hand edge for you to line it up, but it doesn't seem to make any difference which way round you have it so I'm not sure why it's there. You need to be careful when drilling the holes as it's a bit too easy to put the paper in wonky without realising, meaning you have to either re-print, or accept that it's a bit off. It says it does up to 12 sheets. That's not always easy to judge (and I'm not counting every time), but I stuck smallish packs through and they drilled ok. I have drilled thicker wads and it jams up a bit and needs a bit of persuading to release. Eventually it died when it got stuck drilling some music and I can't release it at all. It's now stuck permanently in the down position. I could probably take it apart and fix it, but since it's having age-related problems anyway, probably time to fix it with a new one. This manufacturer tends to favour a bar across the top rather than the handle down one side. This means you need a bit of practice in where to put your hands and you can bang it down on the back of the hand holding your paper. It can be quite fiddly getting the drilled paper onto the comb, and I often found myself using both hands to hold the paper, knocking the lock off and controlling the speed of the bar lifting again with my forearm. A bit awkward, but it does work. All in all, I've had a couple of years use out of it which isn't so bad for just over 40 quid. I've used mine for music and have done a number of scores and parts ok. Here's a little tip I worked out: buy a multi-pack of coloured combs then use them to colour code things. In my case, I have Violin 1 in Blue, Violin 2 in Yellow, etc. This means when you are trying to distribute parts to players, it's a lot easier to find the one you want.

Easy to use.
I would like if the punch bits are a bit sharper.
