Jason Statham and James Franco star in this action thriller adapted from Chuck Logan's novel by Sylvester Stallone. Following the death of his wife, former drug enforcement officer Phil Broker (Statham) moves to a quiet town with his young daughter, hoping to give her a better life. However, their peaceful existence is short-lived when Broker learns of the violence and dodgy dealings corrupting the town at the hands of local drug boss Gator Bodine (Franco). Broker soon finds himself fighting to protect both his daughter and the town. The film also stars Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth and Rachelle Lefevre. Enough action to keep a fan happy.
The best action film I have seen in months. Enjoy most of his action films anyway, certainly up there with his best since Transporter and The Bee Keeper. Definitely recommend.

Standard Statham Movie - what's not to like?
Standard Jason Statham film, but I enjoyed it, with a script by Sylvester Stallone and more high profile casting than usual (Winona Ryder in a small/unsympathetic role, an unrecognisable Kate Bosworth etc). The actual disc was fine - good/stable picture etc and a few extras, including additional scenes. It was a shame that a couple of these were shaved off because they explained a couple of plot points, which left holes in the actual film (i.e. he beats up three thugs at the 'baddies base', then the film moves on and you are left wondering what happened to them, why didn't the 'baddie' find them when he returned home? The extras include a very brief scene where Statham's character 'dumps' them elsewhere....perhaps 15 seconds of extra footage)....recommended to Jason Statham fans...

Riveting Entertainment
When will people ever learn to be nice to strangers. A drug agent trying to live his life with his daughter in the quiet bayou backwater to escape from his troubled past. Now he has new problems with an drug king who also resides near by and thinks his the one and only. This nice quiet little town isn't so lucky and soon he is put in danger with his family so now it's time to rock and roll with a few dirty little ideas and tricks of his own. Cast are fabulous the storyline is riveting what else do you need, suspense and thrills with ideas coming thick fast. Full on action so there will be no relaxing with feet up to night watching this, so be warned and let the show begin. Collect your munchies and drinks, idolize all the movements that we are no longer able to do, try to relax and sit tight for a ride of your life with marvellous entertainment classed as A grade plus for sheer brilliance. Enjoy!
