USB to RS232 DB9 serial port data adapter converter
Used this to update the firmware on a Celestron telescope mount

It does what it says -- it's a cable after all
Works like a charm (although I had to manually install a lot of things on Ubuntu because the installation files would not work)

Worked as specified out of the box
Only had it a short while so can't answer about durability but other than that does what it says it will.
