I've already made several coworkers jealous and started a small "sound war" with the neighbours! Between the build quality and the level of sound manipulation, I bet I could mount this to the roof of my car and make people think there was a freight train blowing past them! You don't just buy this speaker, you get the audio equivalent of the ARC reactor that Ironman had in his dang chest. Absolutely a rockstar product that's lightweight, multipurpose, and pumps the wattage into your, the neighbours , and the molemans cottage! Rock on and rock out

For years my Marshall Tufton has been my primary at-home AND mobile speaker for listening to music. I really love the Tufton's form factor- the size, the shape, the aesthetic, and the volume it can produce. Frankly, the Tufton would be the perfect speaker if not for two major flaws- the obvious one being poor mid-range sound quality, the less obvious being that Marshall has no serviceable parts for it. The Everse 8 is louder than the Tufton, has great midrange, AND all parts are serviceable- the battery is even designed to be popped of and on like a power tool, which is a huge plus! As for the "everything else" considerations, I don't use it to its full potential ie. the multiple channels, effects, etc. But it does have an 8-channel EQ that I have fiddled with, and the feature is awesome, especially coming off the Tufton that only has a knob to adjust bass and a knob to adjust treble. Also, the Everse is weatherproof, which is a huge plus when compared to something like the Bose S1, a more direct competitor to the Everse. The Everse 8 is a professional level piece of equipment, and if you have the need or desire for best-in-class sound and features in its form factor, you cannot do better than this. If you need further reassurance before plopping down $800, there are a ton of "professional" reviews out there that consistently rank the Everse 8 as best in class. And if the fact that I do most of my music listening on a bluetooth speaker makes you question the validity of my opinion, the reason is that my superior home theater system shares a wall with my bedroom, and my wife complains when I listen to music while she's in the bedroom, so I park my bluetooth speaker in the kitchen, where I do most of my music listening.

As a mobile wedding Dj, this speaker has plenty of uses: 1. Ceremony. I bought the optional ev8 tray, and it holds my Shure slxd receiver perfectly. The included 12v dc cord works great, but I bought a longer one for flexibility. So just this speaker on a speaker stand, with a pole tray that I use to hold up an ipad (for ev8 Bluetooth mixer control) and spare phone (for Spotify and music player, I use direct 3.5mm cable connection). That's it. I usually walk to the ceremony site with 1 speaker bag that has everything in it, and a speaker stand. Easy. 2. Cocktail Hour. Also convenient, set the speaker up with a phone playlist and let it play. Again, just the ev8 on a stand, don't even need an outlet. 3. Fill Speaker. Put it anywhere you need to extend your main speakers' sound. Just use a wireless audio transmitter/receiver of your choice and place the ev8 at the sides, rear of the room, or even a totally separate room! No outlet. Just the ev8 on a stand. - The feedback suppression works really well, just follow the instructions. - It is loud for its size, surprisingly so. - Battery life: I haven't drained this at any single wedding yet. Even after using it for multiple purposes that same day. Charge it full before any event, and you're fine. As long as the battery charge cycles fine over time, I'll be a happy camper. - Good to know a light rain won't wreck this speaker. Useful if you'll be using it outdoors a lot. - Suggestion: instead of getting the ev bag for this, get a Gator or Rockville or similar type speaker bag, and you'll be able to fit more accessories in there. Make your life easier with less trips and less gear.

Expensive but sturdy build and decent sound , probably more useful for event organisers than casual listening

Me encanta que tenga Hi-Z y +48V además de un contacto para conectar un microfono inalámbrico y darle energía. Necesitan cables de buena calidad, por ejemplo, en la entrada de jack 3.5 si no se utiliza un cable con malla puede ocasionar ruido(al igual que los otros) muchos pensamos que es error de las bocinas o que las entradas están dañadas y puede ser pero asegurense de comprar buenos cables y si funciona perfectamente con ellos entonces su altavos está al 100👍. PROS 1.- la bateria dura de 4/6 horas en volumen máximo. 2.- Tiene +48V (input 1) 3.- EQ Grafico y paramétrico 4.- Cuenta con Hi-Z (input 2) 5.- Fuente de energía para set de micrófono inalámbrico. 6.- 30 efectos y entrada footswitch. 7.- protector para lluvias IP43 8.- APP QuicSmart para controlar los 3 canales en algún dipositivo móvil. 9.- db establecidos para configurar el nivel de presión sonora. 10.- AFS para evitar retroalimentación CONTRAS 1.- Más pesado 2.- sensibilidad en las entradas(asegurese de comprar buenos cables para evitar ruidos molestos) 3.- la estética del logo no permite que luzca al máximo al no ser giratorio a pesar de que se puede colocar en diferentes posiciones. CONCLUSIÓN Es un excelente altavoz, deben de saber que bose s1 pro y EV everse 8 están pensados para usos diferentes, bose s1 pro tiende a tener más fidelidad a un volumen más bajo, si se incrementa el volumen incluso a un nivel intermedio se puede llegar a saturar y una desventaja muy grande es que no tiene ecualizador para medios, (en las voces es indispensable) esto hace que la señal se distorsione bastante tanto en un micrófono, en algún instrumento o pista de audio (diseñado para solistas o músicos callejeros, restaurantes pequeños, conferencias de no mas de 50 personas, etc.). Electro Voice en cambio tiende a otorgar mucha potencia (funciona más como PA) pero sacrifica calidad de audio, una ventaja es el ecualizador que maneja tres bandas (graves, medios y agudos) las cuales pueden regular un poco más la saturación de las pistas( en bose s1 pro no se pueden ecualizar el canal 3 que es la parte de la música).

Decently loud for it's size, Decent battery life, great app, and decent sound. I've been using this speaker now for 2 years and just had to buy a second. No, its not loud or deep enough for a 200 person dance floor, but for cocktails and ceremony it is perfect. The power out is also a game changer. Great bbq speaker too. I've recommended it to all my DJ friends.
