3 Letter Words (Flash Kids Flash Cards) : Flash Kids: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Brilliant idea for a puzzle loving child - My grandson has problems (ADHD & SPD) and finds it hard to concentrate and learn anything. I found he loves puzzles so tried him with these, He selects a colour pile (there are red set, blue set, purple set, there are 6 colour sets etc...) and spreads them out letter side up, then he has to spell the word, say the word and then turns over the cards to see if he is right. He sometimes has the picture side up, which still has the letters on. He loves this game, we started off with one colour set and worked our way up to 4 colours sets. He gets to choose the colours we will work on that day. The more we play this the better at remembering how to spell the word he gets. He did point out some the colours have a different hue, but I told him the sun must have got to them in the factory lol. Thin card but lasting well and not a bad price. Just wished I could find more of these either 3, 4 or 5 letters. He learns so well with these cards. Tried others but he just comes back to these. Take note manufacturers to make more like this. Review: Perfect for Coffee Shops and Calm Downs - This game has been a god send. It slides easily into a bag and we have played it into coffee shops and restaurants. Not only does my son enjoy reading the words, he loves that he can check the answers for himself. Perfect for those situation where you need a quiet calm game or a wind down activity. Of course, this game has also boosted my son's reading skills which has been a happy bonus!

Brilliant idea for a puzzle loving child

Really good
Really good it’s like 3 in one learning , you can flash just the letters , do the 3 letters for words and they can learn by pictures with help with dyslexia

Laminated as a bit thin for the classroom
Great for teaching cvc words, just laminated them first to make a bit thicker for classroom use

You could of course make 26 cards yourself on some cardboard but it is nice to have special
There are several ways you can use these cards. It explains it in the instructions. So far we have matched up three cards by their drawings. Then you can turn those cards over and on them there is just the letters. Lately we have just been using the cards for making words out of them which has been the most helpful. You could of course make 26 cards yourself on some cardboard but it is nice to have special, shiny cards.

decent but could have been sturdier stronger card, but colourful and vibrant
Lovely colourful flash cards but quite flimsy, not sturdy so young child may inadvertently tear it , but ok for price? Decent enough resource

Good
These are good, my son loves the concept. Helped him start to learn the letters in the words. There's one that's a bit odd, its a dolphin but it's highlighting the 'Fin' with an arrow. My son still said dolphin and wasn't that interested I. Learning off that one. The others are good, bus, cat, jet, etc...

Nice cards. My 2 and 4 year old use it as 3 piece puzzles and really enjoy it. I like that they can do that on their own as I am making supper or something. So don't let the 1st grade label on the box deter you from purchasing if you have younger kids. They also use them for letter recognition. The cards are thicker than typical playing cards, almost like a card stock, but these are not card board so they do bend. My 4 year old decided to throw them all over the house not long after opening and they still look new-whew! I like the colorful pictures, and also like that the backs of each 3 letter word are the same color, so they are easy for the little ones to know which pieces go together by simply matching the colors to save confusion, These are very versatile and well thought out. Great for a busy bag at church. I highly recommend!

The card is really of good quality. The size is bigger than expected which is so much better. My child is enjoying it so much! Photo puzzle on one side and spelling on the other side. Very useful indeed!

Il mazzo di carte è ben fatto: le immagini sono riconoscibili, i colori sono brillanti, la dimensione è soddisfacente. Nel complesso li consiglio. Purtroppo il gioco è arrivato con una delle carte mancante, come si vede nella foto.
