Agua Brava by Antonio Puig Eau de Cologne Splash 200ml

Great fragrance at a reasonable cost.

I have no previous experience of this scent so I cannot comment on how it compares historically to itself but I came across it because I was looking for an old fashioned men's fragrance. Yeah you can call me old fashioned too if you like but I have been disappointed in the trend in recent years for aftershaves and male scents to be on the sweet side and far too floral. No amount of squirting tester bottles on my wrist or little card strips will persuade me to pay some of the frankly extortionate prices they charge for many of those designer labels. However, although I obviously had no way of testing this first, I have been extremely pleased with this purchase so far. I am by no stretch of the imagination a perfume expert and don't claim to fully understand some of the complexities of their classification. Top (Head), middle (Heart) and base notes anyone? But I do believe though I can smell the fresh citrusy, Bergamot (I love Earl Grey tea) and sage aromas when I first apply it which eventually develop into a more subtle pinewood, clove, leather type of smell. It doesn't last for hours and hours but,on me at least, it gives me little waves of pleasing scent for a good 3 to 4 hours or so. Recommend checking out www.fragrantica.com which has a great search engine where you can find incredible details for even the most obscure of perfumes and there is an enormous amount of info about the science of scent in general. I cannot recommend this product enough if you are after a more traditional male fragrance that seems increasingly hard to find these days on the high street shop shelves at least, You get a generous 200ml with this particular version and at around half of even a 3rd the price of many designer scents it is very good value indeed.

i like this stuff. i bought it based on the feedback here already and am very happy with it. The smell lasts for a long time and conjures memories of old fashioned barbershops and well groomed men from the past with a delightfully modern feel also. i happily splash it on. to me the more the merrier as it is not one of those smells that overpowers, it just smells good and makes me feel happy. just the right stuff for now as Summer begins and warm breezes mean light clothing and memories of holidays abroad.

Very nice

Classic aroma. Perfect for autumn & winter

I first got a bottle of this in 1972 and its been a firm favorite since. An aromatic woody fragrance its quite long lasting. It came in a plain box, no cellophane. It is genuine without a shred of a doubt. Interestingly I saw some in a shop in Lisbon in December and god only knows what was in the bottle. It was definitely counterfeit. Not this one. Its as I remember it.

Bought as a present but it arrived with the lip of the glass bottle broken so unfortunately having to return

Good scent

I’ve used this aftershave for almost50 years, on and off, since first discovering it as a young man in Spain and have always loved its rich, full exotic scent. This time it seems to have been diluted and has only a faint aroma and ish very disappointing. It may be that it sat too long on the shelf but I was tempted to return it. In the end I reluctantly decided to keep it.
