A bit of a buzz
All three bulbs in the pack make a low buzzing sound when lit so they're not really suitable for bedside tables, etc. I tested each of them in the same lamp as an old Philips LED bulb we bought many years ago and is still going strong (without making any noise!). The news ones do look similar but they are quite a bit more lightweight and, as I said, make that buzzing sound. I hear that some LED bulbs can buzz if used with a dimmer, but the lamp I tested them with is as simple as it gets - no dimming involved, just a mains powered B22 table lamp. All that said, they were a decent price, they do all light up, and they're fine for ceiling fittings or other places remote from one's ears. We'll see how long they last.

Annoying buzz
I read another review saying that these buzz and assumed they were just really unlucky because I hadn't had any issues with Philips bulbs in the past. But I bought 12 bulbs (4 boxes of 3) and 1 had a really bad buzz, 2 had quite bad and 1 had a little buzz. I returned the 3 worst ones and put the 4th in the utility room where it doesn't matter. I used to buy Philips bulbs because I thought they were a reliable brand, but clearly they have very poor QA now. All they'd need to do is turn them on next to a microphone. Next time I will gamble with a cheaper pretend brand.
