This was recommended to me by our local trophy shop. I use it on all metals that I want to see my face in. It’s absolutely fantastic! Polishes to quickly and easily. Not a pleasant scent. A little goes a long way. Protect your hands when using as it will cover you in black polish.

I bought this product for the express purposes of cleaning firescale from heated metal, I thought it might be similar to a US product called Pennybrite which I cant find over here. However, although some firescale was removed, it did not work entirely sending me into the depths of the acid pickle bath I had hoped to circumnavigate. It should be noted that this product doesnt claim to clean firescale, hence I dont want to be unfair in awarding really low points, the points are awarded on the basis of it not working to clear heavy heat induced metal stains, I may try it on my cooker next, but for this purpose, it doesnt work. Thought this might be helpful for any other fellow jewellers hoping they had found Nirvana...back to the drawing board.

I recently bought a 2nd hand cast iron fireplace which was covered in black soot and had tarnished quite badly, i was really upset upon seeing it as i thought i had just wasted a lot of money on something that was ruined.I tried using every cleaner for metal i already had but none of them were getting the black off and it looked as if i was stuck with this things until i came across this while researching metal polishes.I bough this soley based on other reviews and im so glad i did, it was worth every penny, not only has it taken the black marks off but it is like new shiney cast aliminium once again, ive done the fire surround today using this and wire wool and im so happy with the results, i now have the front section to do. If you have a major piece of metal to renovate or clean up, seriously get this stuff, it really does work! ive yet to try it on jewellery but if it can clean up a cast iron surround that was ready for the scrap yard im sure it will be just fine on my chains too!
