Castle - Season 2 [DVD]

Absolutely love this show.

Entertaining, clever and interesting detective series, full of witty dialogues and meaningful endings. Each episode shows an original murder scene and the discovery of the criminal almost always comes as a surprise thus making it interesting to watch. In addition to that there is series reveals the increasing chemistry between the main characters. The witty dialogues make it amusing and captivating to watch without being cheesy. Good balance serious crime investigations on one hand and the playful nature of the communication between the NYPD detective (Stana Katic) and the best-selling novelist of crime books (Nathan Fillion). An intelligent and fun series worth checking it out.

I spent an entire day watching the box set once I realised what a great show this was. Light,funny, nonchalant and most importantly engaging cast throughout. With two good leads and a better back up group of actors then I've seen in a while this was definately a great purchase.This was simply a tv detective show at its witty best, not serious but fun!

Series 2, as expected, picks up where series 1 left off. It would be silly not to! The continuing character development keeps you interested and the writers never seem to run out of ideas for story lines. The on-screen chemistry just gets better and there are continuing themes now running through the story lines and every so often there is a new development to keep you going. The transition from Kate putting up with the annoying Mr Castle to one where she enjoys having him assist with cases seems to occur unnoticeable. You end up with the impression that they have always enjoyed working together. You also get to see deeper into the characters personalities and issues and more serious issues and sub-plots arise from time to time without losing the essence of a really enjoyable show. It is obvious that these actors really love "working" together.

I had ordered this for my partner's birthday about 10 days in advance, but was deeply disappointed and frustrated as it took over a month to arrive. item was fine and in good condition when it did eventually get here and we are both enjoying the show immensely - can't fault the on screen chemistry and the humour of the show. Clearer notification of estimated delivery time would have avoided a late birthday present, though

I am a Castle fan and have watched the show from start to finish multiple times. I was missing an episode so I purchased this. Thumb up to Kate and Rick, just love the Caskett relationship. Definitely 1 to watch.

I'm not really into these pretty clichéd crime series but Castle is acceptable fare of that particular genre. Very simple storylines added to snappy directing and all in all it's quite watchable. Don't expect anything earth shattering or ground breaking. Fillon is a little fluffy as Castle but he's likable enough.
