VivexoticSliding Glass Door Lock

I bought this for my corn snake vivarium.She's getting quite big now so decided to safe guard the glass from being "nosed" open by my snake

I purchased this lock as the plastic one that came with my Vivexotic vivarium began to losen and I was worried that my Corn Snake might end up pushing it out.This metal lock is quick & easy to setup and is much more sturdier and doesn't budge at all. However, it does allow the glass door to ever so slightly open when locked. The gap is far too small for my Corn Snake to fit his full body through but he can fit his head through it. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for my Snake to slide the door by himself but I did accidentally leave the gap open and he managed to get his head stuck (luckily I was there when it happened and saved his little snakey head) As long as you ensure that both sides are properly closed, this shouldn't be an issue and in my opinion the metal lock is a better option than the plastic one as the plastic one will most likely will wear down and become loose over time. Just be vigilant regarding the gap. The chances of your pet opening it are slim but it's just something to be aware of.

Wonderful lock that fits our vivexotic tank perfectly, the only flaw that I see in this product is how thin the keys are, they could be broken by someone who is a bit more heavy handed.

This item really does what it says on the tin. Made well it is well designed and fits the pre drilled hole in the vivexotic glass. I have a four foot vivarium for my bearded dragon Spyro and this has enable me to keep unwanted hands out of his vivarium (despite the fact he is very friendly.) Simple design and very simple to fit with only two screws. Made easier by removing the glass in question from the vivarium rather then trying to fit in situ.

Vivexotic make a unique lock slot that the usual universal ones do not fit. It does look a lot smarter and it feels better if I'm honest

Great item bit pricey as cheaper over places but cant complain does as described

Easy to install and easy to use. Just 2 screws and that’s it

So easy to install that I managed it. Great that has come with 2 keys
