Takes the sweat out of the job
The tool is heavy (well made heavy) and using it today has saved a lot of tears and stress. So glad I bought it AND chose this one compared to the others that didn’t have this square poll which I suspect will come in handy if I need an extra spanner for leverage. One of my best DIY buys

The tool you need to fit taps
As other reviewers have said, this is very nicely engineered - solid, all-metal and with a bit of weight to it.A stronger spring would be useful to help it grip knurled (rather than hexagonal) fittings better. You can buy conventional basin wrenches but they have fixed sizes: this will grip anything from 32mm down and (although it could be better) knurled fittings that a conventional basin wrench would be unable to grip at all.

great tool
Great tool but very stiff to open but fine now.

Solid feel but poor durability of the clamp
The black plastic clamp which does the hardwork is held by a piece of wire to create tension. So if you have a nut that is difficult to move, there is quite a lot of force here.In my case, the end part moved and started to deform already. The tension wire also started to pop out.In the end not suitable for my sink which is a shame. So a bit waste. I can see it working for smaller and basic jobs.

Very handy
Get in surprisingly tight spaces and get a lot of torque on nuts

Pleased.
I was having a frustrating time replacing the mixer taps under a bath with cramped access. I already had a basin wrench but it was too long and also the jaw didn't open enough.Four stubborn nuts were giving me grief - in part from limited access and that they'd been for around 17 years. This bit of kit worked wonderfully on three of the nuts but the fourth just wouldn't budge! I had to resort to a saw in the end.The T bar cannot be removed - it just slides from one side to the other- presumably, so it won't get lost. I just couldn't get enough leverage on the bar to dislodge the fourth nut. I kept thinking that it would have been great had the T bar been removable to enable a longer bar to be inserted to give it that little oomph.

Good
It is good to use. Extends well. Just would not turn the bolts i had in place in my old bathroom. Must have been very old and due to limescale, it would not turn.Good prasctice before going in is recommend .

Great basin wrench
Ive used a lot of crappy basin wrenches, and decided to buy this one after the last one broke. Probably the nicest basin wrench out there, perfect. Only thing, its made in Taiwan not Germany, to some people this might be a big deal.
