This is one of those simple little gadgets that every car owner should have in their glove box. It takes all the guesswork out of checking your tyres. The large LCD display is clear and easy to read, giving you a precise digital measurement in seconds. It's much more definitive than trying to judge against the wear indicators built into the tyre itself. It's incredibly portable and simple to operate - just switch it on, push the plunger down, and you have your reading.Now, let's be realistic about the build quality. It's a very lightweight, plastic device and doesn't feel particularly robust. I wouldn't want to drop it on a concrete floor too many times. However, for a tool that gets used for a few minutes every couple of months, it's perfectly adequate. For the low price, you're not buying a heavy-duty workshop tool; you're buying a quick and easy way to monitor the safety of your car, van, or truck tyres. For that purpose, it's fantastic value.

This is an amazing little gadget. It’s really useful, as it does the job and is easy to use. Given the consequences of having the wrong tyre treads, this is unbelievable value for money.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Great tool. Works great to measure tread. Only thing i wish is that it would only power on when pressing buttons.It switches on when moved so possible itll turn on and wear battery if i keep it in car (driving might make it move).

Picked this up to keep an eye on my tyres, and it’s been spot on. The digital display is clear and easy to read, even in low light. It’s lightweight and compact, so it’s easy to carry around.

Quick and easy to measure remaining depth on tyre tread. The only thing I'd say is that every time the gauge is moved, it automaatically turns on. I'd be interested to see if this potentially causes the battery to drain quickly given I keep mine in my car so it might move around whilst driving and potentially cause the battery to drain quickly.

Does what it needs to do. Really responsive and affordable at less than £10.Good design and easy to use.

Lovely little gauge with clear and easy to read display. My only complaint about it was that it did not come with instructions or advice about how to use it. Whilst it was, relatively, easy to work this out it really should have come with details about what is the legal tread limit etc.A quick internet search and I had all the information I needed.
