I was fed up of chomping down on stray bits ...
I was fed up of chomping down on stray bits of rosemary twigs and bay leaves that we'd missed when sifting or stews, so we gave these a go. So far we've used one of them and it did the job perfectly. They're apparently reusable and to be honest we looked at the sorry thing at the end of our stew making and thought that there was no way it would recover, but a bit of patient picking out of herb bits and rinsing has done the job and it's (nearly) returned to an unstained colour so it's gone back in the bag with the others to live another day. I'm not sure how it will fair after round 2 of slow cooking but if I get at least 2 uses out of each then I'll consider this to have been a worthwhile purchase!

Used multiple times and still good
I’ve used these bags multiple times for tea and bouquet garnets etc and they’ve held together pretty well. They’re easier to clean than I thought they’d be as well. Would recommend.

Perfect for curries secures all spices together
Really useful bag for curries saves burning hands having to pick out all the spices. The bag let’s you add on more spices because they are altogether so This adds to the flavour further. The bad did stain but washed it as throughly as possible. The strings are thin so take caution when trying and untying, this may be the only bit that may break. Otherwise excellent product will be using all the time.

Great idea, but after 10hrs in slow cooker the cotton tie was disintegrating - single use
Having a real dislike for Rosemary leaves finding their way throughout a casserole (or any dish) these bags for Bouquet Garni seemed a really good idea. They are rinseable cotton, so can be reused. However, if you leave for 8-10hrs on Low in a Slow Cooker the bag does stain, particularly if tomato based stock, and in the first dish the cotton pull-tie had started to disintegrate - even though the bag looked fine and had not let any of the herbs out (it's sole purpose). It proved impossible to undo/save the cotton tie, so that one could not be reused. Maybe I will have more luck in a less coloured/shorter cooking time, but to lose one bag after first cooking use was a bit of a let-down, just because of the fragility of the cotton pull-tie.Great idea, but you need to be very careful if you want to reuse.

Great little bags, sensibly priced and packaged.
Little timesavers, clean and very handy size. Not too much packaging either which is very important these days. Great price, and the thickness of the bags is spot on, allowing herbs and spices to enhance flavour of food. Love them.

Great investment and a must have kitchen item!
I have bought these Spice bags to use when I make curries and soups. The Spice bags are really easy to use and are good quality. They are pure linen and not coloured, so safe to put into hot liquids without worrying that it may affect the food. The bags are a good size to fit in whole spices, and it is easily removed once necessary. I feel like it is good value for money as am able to use spice bags while cooking more than one dish at the same time as there are multiple. The only negative that I have is to be careful with the drawstrings can easily be draw out of the loop - so i have made knots so that they are not able to pull through.

Ideal for making my own ground ginger tea in a mug.
I drink tea I make from ground ginger, and there always seems to be wooden bits floating in my tea if I just put the ginger directly into the mug. I don't mind a certain amount of dregs, I expect that using ground ginger, but sometimes the woody parts can be a bit of a nuisance. These little bags are great at solving that problem, they let the flavour and small dregs through easily, but keep the larger dregs contained. They're a bit fiddly to clean, but that's because I find the drawstring can be a bit stiff to operate when wet... the perils of using a natural fibre, it's just behaving as you would expect. The price was reasonable, and it was a good delivery time.Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results.
