Very well made – sturdy and beautifully finished. As a pen, it is outstanding in every regard. I think it’s nice looking and appreciate that it's not like the tactical pens that can’t get past security checkpoints due to their appearance. And I like titanium way better than aluminum, which is the most common metal used for making other pens like this.I like its design, too. This bolt-action pen is far quicker and more convenient than tactical pens that must be screwed apart before they can be used for writing. And those that pull apart for writing are less suitable, in my opinion, because they can be also pulled apart in a struggle. This pen has been thoughtfully engineered for good looks and ease of use as well as for exceptional strength and durability, with no fragile parts or anything to wear out.As a potential weapon, I first thought it would be better with a flat top because that’s where the thumb needs to be placed when gripping a tactical pen for a strike. But after gripping this pen and pressing the middle of my thumb down very firmly on the top, I found that the pressure gets distributed pretty evenly over the whole surface of the cap. So the tungsten glass-breaking point does not seem to be a problem. It might actually contribute to maintaining a stable grasp. if I ever use this pen for self-defense in a violent encounter and end up with nothing worse than a sore thumb, I’ll write an even more positive review.

This thing is pleasant to draw/write with for extended periods. The weight of it feels really well balanced, and I find myself fidgeting with it a lot in between writing ideas or drawing. Overall it's really enjoyable to work with, and hope it lasts me a long time. It shipped really quickly. The only thing to maybe watch out for is keeping the pin tight so it doesn't come loose, as well as towards the top of the pen near the clip and glass breaker. If you don't mind permanence in some places, maybe locktite could do the trick. When it arrived It was a little loose, but after use I have tightened it enough to where it now feels solid and the clip doesn't rotate. Been using this pen for awhile now with a Fisher Fine Point refill and will def continue to use. Thanks for the solid product, I would buy this for a friend as a gift.

This pen works well, but it is not stonewashed! It is a matte grey, with no stonewash markings at all! Beyond the minor aesthetic flaw, the pen has a smooth action and a good balance.

I really like the looks and feel of the pen. I anticipate that I’ll enjoy using it— when I get a better refill for it. The ink cartridge that it came with is not performing so well— many skips and times when the ink won’t flow. The pen mechanism seems solid.

I used this pen constantly. If you purchase this, make sure you put a little light thread locker on the top cap...not red loctite, you need to still be able to remove it to clean the pen. Everything else is perfect. I just so happen to have lost it while mountain biking so I will be buying another at some point. All Valtcan products I've purchased so far are fantastic products. You will not be disappointed.
