Berlitz: Bologna Pocket Guide (Travel Guide) (Berlitz Pocket Guides)

Amazon suggests that customers might also like to buy this together with the Insight Pocket Guide. Be warned: THIS IS THE SAME BOOK with a different front cover and publisher branding. The only difference is that the other one includes a pull-out map. I am complaining to Amazon as others may follow me into their trap of buying two copies of the same book.

I should have checked product dimensions but I bought it in a rush. I'm sorry I did. It's tiny, the paper is extremely shiny, the font too small and it's really just not a pleasure to read - despite fitting in a pocket. The information in it is scan - you'll do better just reading a few travel blogs/tourist sites online.

A concise, bang up to date and welcome little book which covers Bologna very well. I can say this as it was published and I read it after we visited this less well known but worthwhile Italian city. We even sent a copy to the owners of the apartment we stayed in as there is a gap in the market for a book like this in English ( although a competitor is imminent ). My only gripe is that it arrived somewhat later than indicated but this was due to problems with the publisher rather than Amazon.

The Berlitz Bologna Guide is identical to the Insight Pocket Guide to Bologna which I had bought some time earlier from Amazon. It should be made clear that while they are published by two different entities, Insight and Berlitz, they are in fact both exactly the same book. I feel very hard done by to have spent my money unnecessarily. Please clarify this in future.

I found this book very useful for my trip to Bologna. There are maps on both inner covers that I used on a regular basis and it gave me a great insight into the best places to visit.

Used for a visit to Bologna. Liked the maps. Wanted to have list etc of Museums, Historical churches and other major buildings. Bologna is an important university town - the guide on shopping should include a description on major book shops.
