Highly recommend for highly important data.
Had to buy a new one for my accounting as I'm still using one from around ten years ago which is still going strong! Highly recommended.

Rugged
After seeing so many reviewers post damaged versions I'm curious how. Unless a defect arose in the manufacturing process. Admittedly when I received mine I was too succumbed to the indestructible nature of the product and threw it about a bit. After a variety of minutes past I questioned my actions and continued to use it as a usb drive. It has made several trips with me, and physically survived the journeys. Now a few years later I have taken it out to find all my old files still in tack from the first day I had it. So if a fat lad jumping up and down on it mixed with a water encounter in a bath tub didn't kill it your fairly safe to rely on it....

Quite expensive, but very durable
First off, this is not a cheap drive. For the capacity, if you just need something for transfers or something there are a lot of other options. But this isn't aimed at that really. For me, its good to know that I can chuck this in a bag and generally be careless with it and it'll basically be impossible to damage or kill. The waterproof seal seems great, and the solid metal construction seems a lot stronger than any other drives I have. Its great to have at least one drive that you can trust to not die on you.I use this as my boot/installation drive, and for backing up important docs that I definitely don't want to lose, and its great.

For paranoid people...like me
Do you care about your data? are you paranoid that one day your flash drive would just stop working (happened to me a few times now)?. Well I have very painstakingly collected tons of research data for my thesis and I don't want to one day discover that I have lost everything just because a stupid flash drive decided to give up the ghost. I have been using this device for a year now and it always brings out the 'oohs' and 'aaahs' in people when I pull it out of my bag. It looks equally impressive sticking out of a desktop computer - like some kind of next-gen flash drive thingy... you know what I mean. But keep in mind if you've got a macbook pro (like me) the stick is going to be a snug fit since it sits higher than the USB ports on a macbook pro. Can't do anything about that sadly other than just hoping it won't snap in two in the middle of a data transfer (which it hasn't so far). Haven't tested out if it's waterproof - won't be trying that for myself even though they claim that it is on the box. All I can say is I think I sleep much better nowadays, with the thought that my data is stored safe inside a tank trapped inside a cylindrical bunker... jez saying... you can never be too paranoid.
