Good Product - Very Pleased.
Delivered quickly by Yodel to North Essex (Saffron Walden). Arrived in Bosch box in good condition. Simply unpacked it, had a quick glimpse at the instruction book just to be sure and opened bench out ready for work in seconds, it was as easy as that. Nothing to put together, no additional tools, easy to operate and light to carry yet feels strong. Ingenious design by Bosch. Simple to collapse and fold away, no getting fingers caught or struggling, it's a very easy bench to operate and finished to a high standard. Made in India written on box but don't let that put you off buying one of these, this is typical German quality. Very slim when stowed. My wife will be able to operate this with ease it's so simple to set up and take down. Has a very large bench top when open, giving a nice big flat work surface. The red plastic clamps which fit into the ready made holes of the work top can be stored underneath on the framework in purpose made holes, a feature I like because you know where they are and are easy to retrieve when you want to use them. Has a useful indent/tray area at the front for leaving a pencil or some screws while you are working. Handles work well and I noticed that the threaded bar connected to them and the vice/worktop even has a dab of grease on to keep it running smoothly. Being a keen DIY 56 year old with a lot of projects on the go including constructing a decking verandah outside our new conservatory, I think this will prove to be a good purchase and because of the build quality it will probably see me out! I recommend this product. UPDATE.3/6/13. Had this for a week now and have used it mostly for sawing 4 x 2 timber. I have to agree with a previous reviewer who said that it wobbled about when he was sawing wood. This is because of the excellent height of the bench and the fact that it has many joints in the fold out/in legs. I'm still glad I bought it. It's quality. I have since also purchased a B&D 301 from Amazon at a very good price. This is slightly more stable than this Bosch 600 when sawing wood, but the height is too low for me. I was put off buying the B&D 536 or 825 by all the negative views, but now I'm wondering??

Great, really useful and comfortable, zero assembly, but the pegs can get stuck
I've been using this successfully for DIY, drilling shelves etc, and it stands in nicely as a coffee table. I ordered a cheap B&D first and that was really awful so I sent it back and got this. Much better. Fit for purpose, where as the B&D was not. A significant drawback though is that the red pegs / "blade clamps" can get stuck. The peg holes aren't all the same size: some are loose, others are too tight. Yesterday I had to remove a stuck peg with a crowbar and it's looking much worse for ware. I don't know if they do spare parts but doubt they will last long if I have to keep doing that, and the bench will be of limited use once they break, because the normal opening with the pegs isn't very wide. I don't know if they were drilled differently or mine has warped, but it's an issue either way. I've had it about a month. It's also a bit expensive, but the finish quality (especially the wood) is better than on cheap items.

Bosch PWB 600 - Fantastic
I had almost given up on finding a proper folding workbench. Like many I have given-up on the original Black & Decker range since whey introduced the cheap plastic caps that the threads screw into, as these break all too often. Indeed the B&D range is so cheaply made that they provide no meaningful service life. The Draper, Clarke and Sealey versions are no better, although the Woolcraft range has some redeeming features but lacks outright strength. But the new Bosch PWB 600 is in a different league to them all. The machining, fit and finish of the load-bearing parts is incredible. The folding action is super smooth, easy to accomplish and produces either a stable platform or an ultra thin square shape for easy storage. The extra large top deck is welcome, as is the use of bamboo and you can even snug-up a stool or similar as the overhang at the rear can cater for your knees. The dogs are well made, do the business and stow away at the rear of the lower green bar with the Bosch logo. Of equal quality is the tool tray, which is a well finished metal tray that should cope with robust use and it does not get in the way. The black bar near floor level means you can slip a foot or toe on it to provide extra stability when wrestling with more challenging project. Hard to find many negatives, but being picky I would have liked the imbedded metal ruler to fit flush with the surface and have inches as well as metric. A slightly larger span to clamp larger parts, without resorting to the dogs, would have been nice too. Clearly designed with the professional in mind, the price (given the quality) will attract the premium end of the DIY market. For the DIYers that have suffered a failure of the other types of workbench should look at this too, whatever their budget. A must have item for the mobile professional or the DIYer who is looking for a product built to last - fantastic!

Quality work bench
The perfect gift for my dad. Easy to assemble and pack away again, a quality product that he uses all the time. Definitely value for money, would recommend over other work benches.

Trusted brand & great work bench
This replaced my 59 year old rusty Black & Decker Workmate which has served me well. This is much lighter & a bigger work area. After lots of online research, this stood out & I'm not disappointed. Trusted brand.
