Pros:1- VERY sturdy!2- Mount stays straight at all times, camera cannot turn upside down like similar poles will.3- I have seen reviews about loosing the nut on the mount, but this one will not due to it being permanently mounted on.4- Big, soft, rubber, bike-like handle/grip. It is not slippery at all. It is easy to grasp and hold on to, especially with the wrist strap attached.5- Nice rubber grips on locking collars. Very easy to use even with snowboarding gloves on.6- Comes with an extremely high quality, padded carrying case/bag.7- I particularly like the aluminum GoPro mount. It is very well built and I do not worry about it cracking or breaking.Cons:1- Collapsed length doesn't fit in any sort of pockets well. Slightly hard to carry when not in use. (Snowboarding)2- The price is slightly high, but you definitely get what you pay for. I am willing to pay a little more for this, especially for the high quality of the product.

I've used this pole for the last three years and so far have taken it on about 70 dives all around the world - Cozumel, the Maldives, Palau, Roatan...and it's fantastic! It allows you to get your GoPro close to sea creatures you might normally not want to. It's also great for all those little cracks and crevices where lobster and other critters hide. There are no parts that corrode and it comes apart easily for cleaning. Just fyi, it does fill with water so it will be negatively buoyant but doesn't feel heavy at all. Just be sure to keep the wrist strap on. As an added bonus, when you get out of the water, you can extend, then collapse it and get one good squirt that you can use like a water pistol on your dive buddies.

This thing feels solid. The aluminum GoPro fitting is well machined. Fully extended it does not have any movement in it. My one complaint about it is that I do a lot of shooting off he back of a boat wakesurfing. I like to point the camera away from myself. As you can see in my pictures here I can’t do that well with this pole without adding a short link (wanted to avoid adding those). You have to add he link if you use a floaty also. If the fitting were made just slightly longer, and with the axis offset like a j-hook mount it would be awesome. One nice addition is it came with an aluminum screw and a plastic screw wrench. Props for that! My camera fits in the zipper pouch while in its waterproof housing, but it’s so tight I’m worried the lense will be scraped by the zipper. That’s ok though. Spare batteries can go in there, mount the camera and floaty on the pole, and put a Josie on to protect the camera housing. For the money, I think it’s a good buy. I’ll add some pipe insulation to it to help float it. I have t done a test yet to check how well it floats or sinks, but it’s well built and has some heft. I’m guessing it doesn’t float. I’d buy it again.

Just returned from a week-long snowboarding trip to Japan. The pole worked great. Very well built, sturdy and the very long, adjustable length gave me the chance to get a wide range of great angles. I did some treeline runs and the pole took a beating a few times and didn't come out with so much as a scratch. The camera never worked itself loose like some other poles I've used. Highly recommended accessory for your GoPro kit. ***Update*** It's been a year since I bought the pole and it's still going strong. I've had no problem with the durability even after some pretty hard tumbles on the snow. I even had it in my bag once and fell. The GoPro case cracked but the pole didn't get so much as a scratch. The ONE thing I can say is MAKE SURE YOU SCREW THE BOLT IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION. The mount assembly is only threaded on one side. If you insert the bolt on the threaded side it doesn't tighten firmly enough for the camera to stay snug, and therefore the camera just flops around. After several times using the product, I accidently did this and the camera just flopped around. I through I finally broke it until I realized my mistake. Simply assembling the product correctly fixed the issue.

I normally don’t write reviews on things I but on amazon, even though I rely on them to make my purchase. But I felt compelled to do so here. I received my Gorad Selfie Stick about a week ago. I love this stick. Its light, strong and easy to use. It says waterproof, which it is not waterproof to the point that the stick does fill up. But if you have the gopro float for the back door, the stick is light enough for that to make it float. The stick easily comes apart to clean and put back together. The aluminum gopro mount on the end is strong and fits nicely. I did have an issue with it not tightening down hard enough for it not to move, but Mike from MNE took care of the problem by sending me a wrench on the house which fixed the problem. He responded within 4 hours also. I was shocked! Great customer service here. He personally emailed me about 5 days after receiving the stick reminding me of the warranty and asking if I had any questions.It is quite long, but will easily fit into a carryon bag collapsed. The handle is great and comfortable and the locks are easy to use and keep it tight at all times.Highly recommended to others as a great product. I would buy again just based on how he took care of me with my questions and his service.
