I was very sceptical… 18k run later I am onboard.
I was very sceptical that these “nip guards” would work as well as the blurb seems to suggest. However seeing plenty of good reviews and being tired of sore nipples decided to give it a go.I am one of nature’s sweaters, you could put me in the Arctic and I would be soaking wet after a 2 minute stroll. I therefore struggle when training for long runs (thankfully I have never hit the point where blood is running down my front). I’ve tried lots of stuff to stop it but all of them failed.Step in Ron Hill Nip Guards, I have just been out for an 18k run in 19/20 degree heat and they worked brilliantly. Absolutely no chafing whatsoever.Whatever they make the glue out of is incredible, the guards did not move at all. However on getting home, it wasn’t agony pulling them off.The only downside with these is they are a one time only use product so could end up expensive if you have to use them very regularly. They are also probably not very good for the environment for the same reason. In all though I have to say I am very impressed and they will definitely be part of my kit for any long run.I know Amazon recommend uploading a photo for reviews, but I don’t think any of you need to have that inflicted on you.

A must have for long runs
This is the best buy I have made. Used it for my long runs and had no issues. Doesn’t fall off and taking it off after the run is easy as well. Recommend every runner to use this.

Possibly the only thing that really works!
I've tried all kinds of tape and various types of plaster/band aid with varied results but none of which stick for 13.1 miles on a very sweaty day! Vaseline works but stains your shirt. Nothing works as well as these. The outside of the protector has a shiny surface which reduces friction with your running shirt and prevents the protectors from moving. The adhesive is sticky enough to keep them in place but comes off pretty easily in the shower after a run. They are well designed with a recess that would, I imagine, accept most sizes of nipple. I have one pierced nipple and I find they don't stick as well because of the shape/size of the piercing.Costing about a pound per run they are rather expensive so I tend to use them only for longer runs and manage with surgical tape on anything under 10km. The price is the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars.

Yes, they really work!
I have used these for 20km plus hill runs and they have dealt very well with a painful problem. They apply easily and have not come off (me at least) even under the sweatiest conditions, and attaching to me is challenging (think doormat)

Average sticky-ness. I am an ageing sport loving fella ...
Average sticky-ness. I am an ageing sport loving fella, fast approaching 60. Set a goal of 1000 for 2015. Times are immaterial. The muscle aches and pains were nothing compared to nipple abrasion !!! I have tried everything from tapes to these. Nipple protectors are only average for their staying power. Running less than 45 minutes they are well above average. Longer runs over one hour, they always fall off. Plus, these are not cheap; and they are one-time-only use.My personal choice is to use 'medical quality micro-pore tape'. Has never fallen off for me during a run: lasting up to 2 hours for me. cheers GB

Useless
Followed the instructions to the letter. The first one fell off after 20 minutes, the second fell off after 35 minutes.Waste of money.

Great protection
Despite the wife laughing at me whenever I wear these nipple covers they're great. I've tried a few types and these are far the best out there. Especially if you suffer with friction on the nipples. Great when wearing a hydration pack or getting wet and sweaty. Highly recommend these

Brilliant
I did the Nottingham marathon last year and by the end it looked like I had been shot - blood all down my chest. I ran the London marathon last weekend wearing these and had no such problems. I did shave the area around my nipples, but they stuck on easily and stayed there for the 5+ hours of running.
