but my previous one lasted 5 years until it eventually got damaged by the impact. I also have the shower tray and toothbrush holder which are still going strong.For convenience I bought another brand from a shop and throughout the months of having it I can measure the suction capacity in seconds and even more impressively every so often minutes at a time. That one has spent more time sitting on the side than on the wall and is now destined for the tip.So out of frustration I have bought another one of these, which I know works. The wall and suction cup need to be clean and eventually it will come off to need cleaning again, but I consider this the best design of the ones I have ever looked at.And I also agree that it may seem that initially it does not work/seems broken. Not having had one for a while I had trouble getting it to stick to the wall and it took 4 attempts to get it to work. The secret is pushing in the sucker with one hand whilst locking with the other.If you have the luxury of your own wall - do not buy this, get one that screws in and is fixed. If, like me, you don't own your wall get this and you will not be disappointed by its performance.

This product was very good and ideally suited to my needs. It arrived within 24 hours and was put to use in my bathroom straight away. For the price it is very good quality and as it is clear, it suits any decor. I use it, as I have a bath lift and needed a soap dish that could be attached whenever and wherever, it was needed. This product meets my needs. I was surprised by the quality and the feel as it could easily be mistaken for glass by sight and weight. Easily fitted and removed, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and the prompt delivery by Amazon!

This is an oval soap dish that's a bit small for large bars of soap, but most 125g bars fit fine. It took a few goes to get the locking suction mechanism to work, but once I'd master it it held firm. I put a large bar of soap on it and it didn't fall off the shower cabinet wall. This is an absolutely smooth surface that probably helps. We're had a couple of showers putting the soap on and off the holder and so far it held firm. I'll update this review if there are any problems.Update 2015: I have a number of devices using this powerlock system and over the years find that every few months they fall off the wall but as it's a non-adhesive system I simply loosen the suction pad. press it hard on the wall and re-tighten. Not perfect but still worth having as one doesn't have to have screew holes in the wall ot tiles.

I bought 2 of these for our bathrooms in 2023 they then cost app £6.50 each - at that price reasonable value -suction needs a very firm hand to make it work properly- or it falls offLoses suction suddenly if the dish is lifted slightly during showeringI REALLY WOULD NOT PAY £30 plus for it - its just cheap plastic

Bought this to replace exact item that lasted four years. This sticks very well to my white ceramic tiles in the shower. No drilling required and can be put anywhere. I found a little water on the suction cup greatly helps to lock the soap dish to a tile, but any soap scum that gets on a tile and it slides down and falls to the floor undamaged. Things that go bump in the night hours after fitting lol!!! They are made of very tough plastic. Highly recommend.

Only on the shower wall until we put a small bar of soap into it. It promptly fell off and shattered into pieces. Totally useless. It did stick, but obviously cannot bear the weight of an object in it! Waste of money and I can't even return it as it broke when it fell off the tile onto the shower tray.

Did the job but then the suction cup failed, fell off the wall and broke. Unusable now.

Great little dish. We bought this as we are really loathed to drill holes in our lovely new shower enclosure so this seemed the perfect solution. Plain and simple it fits in perfectly.Some people seem to have had troube with getting it to stick, but i found (after my first failed attempt) that if you clean down the tiles and then attached the sucker while they are still wet then it holds extremely well. Do remember though that suckers like this will only work on smooth tiles, if you have tiles with any raised texture to them it will struggle to form a good seal.
