Goodbye to frustrating ring-opening tins! This sturdy gadget is certainly helpful for anyone whose hands can't manage ring pulls easily. But it's also great for anyone who gets annoyed with ring pulls that break off. That rarely happens with this handy tool. The only down-side we've found is that sometimes the puller doesn't get the top all the way off. Sometimes it leaves a shallow 'lip' of the top still sitting flat atop the tin. It's easy enough to pour the contents out of the tin anyway. Just don't expect a complete lid removal every time. But that's a really minor down-side. We wouldn't be without it.

Crude, cheap but effective

This has been a godsend to me as I have lost a lot of my strength and mobility in my hands and body I have used electric tin opener but can’t handle it anymore and tins have ring pulls mostly which my mobility means can’t use my fingers as before to pull ring up and open My friend showed me this plastic opener as I live on my own have not eaten a hot simple meal as could not open the tin lid to access contents she said it is easy to use and half the price of some of the other ones recommended So I ordered it came next day and it looked quite flimsy light to hold easy simple little hook attached one end Was dubious about ability to open anything but went in kitchen and tried a tin of soup just put hook end under slightly raised ring pull and pushed up the other end of my opener gently and the ring pull popped open I was amazed how it worked and have been able to access a warm meal etc Great Aid for independent living great value for money Only draw back wish it had a hole on the hand holding end for a string loop to go through so can be put on a hook for easier picking up and not being put in a cutlery draw by well meaning people But my blue friend and I are buddies I keep him in a jug on the counter so is easy access to use everyday

I have weakness in my hand I was always having to ask my work colleagues to open the ring pull cans I thought I'd try this what a game changer it's absolutely brilliant easy to use opens tuna cans easy it's safe to leave around

Good product for the price, opens the tins easily and makes opening tins very easy for my wife who has authritis in her hands. Not the best quality but for 1.99 delivered we can buy another one.
