The catch is nicely firm enough to stop my kitties just pulling it off, but with enough give to hope it would release if they were in danger of being strangled

The only collars I've found in many years of cat owning which apparently fit comfortably (no frantic scratching by cat); stay on, and have a loud enough bell to give birds a chance. They don't fray after a month either. I have 4 cats and bought 4 collars so the product has been well tested on different sizes and activity levels of cat. Fits the fat one comfortably and the little one too. Adjusts and fastens easily. Doesn't hamper the athleticism of the young one and even the nervy one is happy (and she never accepted a collar before). I don't like to put collars on them because of the risk of getting caught but these released as they should do when we tested them by hooking them on a low branch whilst around the neck of a stuffed toy and pulling and twisting as a cat would( my daughter's idea for product testing!). They look smart and colourful too - though I doubt the cats care! I'm not sure how well they show up at night but the bells can be heard over the fence if you are the kind of owner who regularly has to retrieve a wanderer or a climber too dumb to know how to get down from a tree.

The product itself is really good..decent quality particularly for the price and my cat doesn't pay much attention tion to it, which is great. Quick release works well, might lose some over time, but much better that than the cat being stuck somewhere or worse.Reason it is not 5 stars is this was my second order, first time I ordered this I receive a knitting pattern book instead of the collars!? Resolved quickly by amazon.

Looks great and great quality

These collars are not really awful - the collars themselves have lasted and look nice and bright on our cat.The issue is the bells - the first came off in 4 days, the second in 1 day. We got these to give garden birds as much of a heads up as possible that our cat is heading their way, so without the bells they're basically pointless.One bell fell off in the house so we can reattach it, the other is lost to the wilderness.Cheap, decent collars but pretty useless for our particular purpose.

Easy release but stay on so far. Just what I needed - very smart and practical

To be honest... I've have my patch for a year now since she was a two weeks old kitten - long story - and not once have we had to deal with fleas or anything.I bought her this flea collar anyway as well as just these pink collars from Amazon which by the way she used to have and I got that one from my local pound shop.She wears the flea collar and the dark pink collar and for the past two weeks now nothing...her fur didn't fall off around her neck - nothing.Basically I think those whom say their pets had a reaction in the comments section - which by the way, nearly put me off buying these products...either you got a dodgy order which, honestly I doubt or its your pet!.... Or something in your home, and its most likely your home, sorry to say.Other than that....perfect collars she looks lovely in it and the surprisingly gently sound of the bell let's me know when my cat's up to no good. LOL

I was hesitant putting these on as the fastening was very stiff. My cats only had these on a couple of hours and one got himself caught up and the fastening didn’t release. Luckily we were around to free him.Definitely not a safety quick release fastening!
