Finn Phone holder
This product is great, I bought the product a month ago when I got my first road bike. The idea behind buying this was so that I could put my phone on my bars as a health tracker or GPS if I was going new places. After a couple of rides while using this I realized it was holding my phone very securely and therefore I decided to test it further with another phone and another bike. I put the phone on the bars of a BMX bike and went round a track completing a variety of jumps and stunts, even under so much stress my phone was held securely in place which leads me to believe that your phone should be safe no matter what situation you get yourself into. The product itself came in a little envelope, it was packed with instructions on how to use and mount, although the instructions are clear enough, you may have to be a little forceful when stretching it around your phone as it's quite a tight fit, however you shouldn't worry as it holds the phone securely and seems to be strong.I wouldn't recommend this to people with larger phones such as the Samsung Note range, I found it to be a tight fit on my iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4

Simple and effective
It's hard to score the Finn lower than 4 stars because it does its job very well, all be it in a very simple manner. Unpacking it gave me a sense of, "Is that it?" and it took some effort to work up the enthusiasm to try it. The instructions are really basic and not even in English but it's easy enough to follow the pictures. Initially I couldn't believe it would stretch far enough to hold my phone (a Nexus 5) and indeed, it took quite some effort. I gingerly let the Finn take up the strain, worried that it was tight enough to bend my phone but all was well and it holds the phone firmly in place with no possibility of it getting loose. There are a couple of issues:1) The straps of the FInn that pass around the corners tend to press the side buttons on my phone. One of these is the Off button which can be quite annoying. With care during fitting, this can be avoided.2) Without the phone, the Finn doesn't stay in place. This means that every time you undock the phone from the bars, the Finn comes with it. Putting the phone back in place means refitting the Finn from scratch (while taking care to avoid switching it off).3) It may just be my perception but having the phone so tightly attached to the bars does worry me that it's absorbing all the vibration from the road. Only time will tell if this has a detrimental effect on my phone.Despite these issues, the Finn fulfils its job very well and I'm happy with my purchase. For the first time, I have a satisfactory means to mate a large Android phone to my bike.

Deserves a design award, will change how you use bikes for ever
The Finn is simply one of the smartest and most useful things I've ever bought. I don't think the other reviews here have really distilled down the why, so here's my attempt;- tool free: anyone, using just their hands, can mount this on any bike- no special phone case required: you can keep your phone looking just how you like it- fits any size phone: changed your phone? borrowed your mates? No problem!- because its made of silicone, its insanely cheap (thinking how much I wasted on Topeak solutions in the past)In particular, its dramatically increased the usefulness of city rental bikes. London has Santander bicycles everywhere. I can pop my phone on the handle bar and get around town easily without the stop/start of taking a phone out of my pocket. Even better, I can remove it in seconds after arriving at my destination and it takes up minimal space in my pocket - I can carry it around all day. If only helmets could do the same...Something else I don't see mentioned in the reviews - it 'comes with' the Bike Citizens app which, frankly, makes Google Map's bike directions look like a joke. Its shown me routes through parts of London I never knew existed, and more often than not very quiet roads. And if you are using Santander bikes, it even has all the parking spaces shown in the app too (which I used to use the CityMapper app for)In a word its, amazing.Bike Citizens has a very clever pricing mechanism - share your route each time and get the app for free, or pay £6. Or buy this Finn mount, because it includes a code you can enter to get one city for free (in my case London, but many are represented). Even if you don't buy the Finn, promise me you'll try this app.One seller, sending from Austria, charges just £5.99 and £3 shipping and its the same shipping fee whether you order 1, 3 or 5 etc... You see now why you'll be ordering extra for your family/friends?I've yet to see it on sale in any London bike store. Fortunately Amazon means you won't have to find one that does either.

Works as described, has its pros and cons.
Holds the phone well, can't imagine it falling off and it should fit any phone, possibly even a small tablet.Unfortunately the phone flaps around a lot so can be hard to read and operate. Also, the design makes it difficult to plug something into the phone's ports, eg. charging cable. I'm using an iPhone 5, I imagine it'll be the same for any phone with a port in the centre at the bottom. It's also quite fiddly to take on and off, and the mount cannot be left on the handlebar like other designs. The trade off here is that it is very easy to move the mount between bikes.

not fit for purpose
It is described as being appropriate for any handlebar and any device. There is not a cat in hell's chance that is true. It will barely reach round a 31.8mm MTB handlebar nevermind hold a phone as well. Even wrapped up with no bar it barely reached to stretch round a Samsung J6 and the pressure applied to the device would not be healthy long term. I don't the J6 is a 'big' phone either by current standards. I can't comment how sturdy it would be if it was mounted as I did not get the opportunity to try, but having had the item in my hand, I can't see how it would be as secure as advertised; stretched so much i would be flimsy and likely to break in my opinion. Even the cost of replacing an old J6 should it fall off the bike would not be worth the risk, in my opinion. You may fare better, but I doubt it.

Geniale!
Leggero , pratico, perfettamente adattabile, resistente, economico, indispensabile!
