Maxima has been a known good line in the fishing world for decades that has landed many record fish . A sinking line in heavier breaking strains but still usable for float fishing .

I have used Maxima Chameleon for more years than i care to remember but in recent times it seems to be a different line altogether. Chameleon used to be a brown line that took on a green hue when wet where as now it seems more red than brown and in use it gets redder. The line isn't pre-stretched like more modern monos and although this gives it a slightly thicker diameter it does mean there is a lot more "bungee" to it which makes it ideal for close to midrange fishing when you need a greater cushioning effect. Chameleon remains a good value and reliable line but 1 star off for the notable change in chemistry.

Good line, used it twice now and it coped with a few big fish, spools up nicely on the reel. Good price

Been using this line for 40+ years and always has been great. Not the thinnest, but tough and reliable.

I've been using this line from Maxima for over 30 years, it is very relyable, never let me down. There might be slightly better monofilament lines out there, but expect to pay twice the price you would be required to pay for this product. It has very good knot strength, good abbration qualities, and it would appear to be difficult for the fish to see.

This sounded great when I ordered it, but unfortunately it’s not for me. It’s nice enough line and easy to work with, but it does seem to be a little sparingly for my tastes. What I mean is, having made a few rigs with this line, I seemed to bump an aweful lot of bites when I went fishing. I mean bumping fish isn’t unusual, but I literally bumped so many I wanted to cry. And the only different thing was this line making up the rig. I haven’t tried it on a spool yet, which it may work well on. However, I’ll have to report back on that experiment when I’ve tested it out. Like I said, nice line, so I don’t want to give it too lower rating because it really is personal preference.
