Much better than the PSP version
Dual analog sticks make a huge difference to this game, let me tell you. I can't remember a lot of the psp version other than I rushed through it to get it over with as I wanted to see the story, but couldn't stand the controls and the constant interruption during battles. These things have been improved for the remaster, and though the new voice actors are said to be inferior to the original I didn't notice any bad dialogue and now pretty much ever line is voiced!Gameplay revolves around going on missions on a set map area and fighting enemies in real time untill you reach your objective (usually a powerful enemy). Like in FF7 combining Materia with each other to make powerful ones is very satisfying and can make for some very powerful builds. There's plenty to do in this game and should keep you going for hours. The story about Zack is touching but won't be winning any awards though I really liked it. Sephiroth isn't in it as much as I would have liked and would have been nice opportunity to develop his character, sadly missed. It's really nice to visit familiar locations and see characters from the main game pop in.Over all I really enjoyed it this time around and it's a nice hold over for FF7Remake 3.

As someone who never played the original prequel to FF7, this is very enjoyable
I played the original FF7 and remake, but not this prequel from the 2006 PSP release. It's a charming and enjoyable game, it's of course a product of it's time, the level design and some of the dialog is reminiscent of the PS2 era (where movie like narratives and voiced acting were still pretty new) and so the written dialog is a little cheesy at times. But the voice actors are great, reprising their role's from the recent FF7 remake. The visuals are fantastic, and the combat is fast and fun. The story is also interesting, as is seeing character's like Sephiroth in the different light.Compared to the original, I've seen others mention the combat is much better and more responsive, and there is a lot of additional dialog that wasn't previously voiced.A must for anyone who's interested in Final Fantasy 7 (although be warned, this game is a prequel to FF7, one might want to play the PS1 FF7 first to avoid spoilers).

Good Game.
Very good game. I've got the other titles so this game adds to it.

well worth playing if you liked FF7R
this game adds loads of context to parts that felt missing in FF7R, and with it being a remaster of the original game, nothing has changed. Meaning if you played the original FF7 before they changed the story in Remake, it still applies.

Disc was not put into the disc holder and was just in the box lucky no damage tho.

Great remaster
I never had the opportunity to play this on the psp so it was really good to get the chance to play it now. The graphics have been enhanced and although there were elements that felt like an older game, I still had a lot of fun with it. If you are a fan of final fantasy vii then I highly recommend this

A fun time
At first I was put off by the overwhelmingly different play style of that of ff7 remake, but stuck it out and grew to like it. The story was also very good. I liked the part when the funny man said the funny line too “me, gongaga.”
