PowerstormSEA FISHING DISGORGER

Handy wee tool when you have the knack for it. This wee tool is really handy when you're showing how it works. However, I've found that when actually trying to use it on a large struggling fish, I end up just removing the hooks with my pliers. When I land a fish and take this t-bar out, I never remember the way you put it on the line to slide down to the hook and usually the fish will then start flapping and I'll just grab pliers instead. This tool would be great for removing hooks from some of the bitier species like tope, dogfish etc. Like i said, it's dead easy to use on line with no fish on it - I just need more practice with it I think

Disgorging fish was so easy. you dont have to touch the fish, just hold the fish over the water and give the disgorger a quick push and the fish falls off the hook.

Wanted a good strong disgorger for sea fishing. I liked the design of this one so I bought it. It arrived on time (that's the one star covered).The item is cheap, thrown together, and -if I used it- would result in a very nasty injury at some point. It is basically a strip of wire with the shaft and handle moulded around about it. The moulding is so poor that you can see the wire poking through the plastic for about two inches at the handle end. That is however just cosmetic. If you hold the handle and twist the metal then it will turn around quite freely, proving the the metal is not held securely at all. My main reason for throwing this in the bin is that the other end of the wire (up at the handle) is already poking through and is sharp. At some point in the future, I'm going to be trying to get a stubborn hook out of a fish, and while pressing down hard, that jagged piece of metal is going to go right into the palm of my hand. It will stop when the plastic hits the loop at the bottom, leaving just under an inch of metal lodged in my hand.I don't generally leave reviews for products, but this one is so bad that I felt I had to warn people. Spend a bit more and get something safe!

Bloody awesome piece of kit. Literally wouldn't be without it on the shingle these days.Buy one, learn how to use it (youtube) and you'll not regret it. Whiting have a frustrating habit of dying if not returned within thirty seconds, but they take the hooks right down into their gut. With this the hook is out and the fish back in no time at all, even on a fully populated three hook rig.Would I recommend it? Highly! Would I buy it again? This is my third.

I used to use forceps to unhook fish until i got this disgorger but now i can release the fish without even touching it so perfect for dogfish when you dont want their skin wrapped around your armQuality tool for fishing that every angler should haveWatch you tube video on how to use these first and you will never go back
