Good value goat hair brush set.
I bought these as a low cost option for those in our art club attending a watercolour workshop using Hake brushes. Not all wished to buy their own Hake brushes, so these were an ideal alternative for us to provide. I'd used them before and they are of reasonable quality, although the pins through the ferules do eventually rust. Some hair shedding, but minimal.

Great for watercolor
I bought this for the 1 inch brush for use in watercolour. It is super soft and leaves amazing expressive marks. It doesn't absorb as much pigment and water as I expected but that suits me as its way to make good dry brush strokes. There is absolutely no spring to the hairs but it's possible to use the corner of the brush for some quite thin strokes. The brush itself is very light and easy to maneuver however the wood of the handle is a poorly finished and just thin piece of pine but it seems strong enough.I did lose 3 or 4 hairs when I opened the package but nothing since then and I've abused it a bit already.

Good for varnish
Really nice bushes to use, the wooden handle feels great and the bristles are soft and easy to apply wood finishes with. It was perfect for varnishing a guitar neck with and achieving a great finish. Only issue is that some of the bristles do fall out, thankfully given the nature of use I was able to remove them from the varnish

Super value
I bought these to put glaze on to pottery. Expensive brushes are quickly destroyed, so it suits me better to buy often and cheap. I gave the brushes a really good wash before using, which meant I had no problems with the odd loose hair and they hold the glaze really well. They are excellent value, although I wish they did them in more size options - the 3" is huge for most purposes so rarely used and it would be useful to have a smaller option than the 1" for detail. Will buy again
