We took a while to purchase one of these lights as you can see many duplicate lights being sold on Amazon under different manufacturers. This always screams cheap Chinese crap.Happy to say this is not the case. The device is a nice snug size, think of a wide candle and that's the size of the light.The light is touch sensitive and changes the brightness via a touch. A long press and you can cycle the colours, the last of these settings is actually a sound activated disco light!! 😂 Having said that, you can lock the light mode by pressing the light bulb button, helps stops little fingers turning their room into a late night party venue!Bluetooth is a breeze, press the M button, find the speaker on your phone and your paried. After this you need only turn the light on and you can connect by simply pressing the M button once.The sound quality is very good for such a small device and fills and small to medium room without distorting with a solid bass level. You can control your music via the buttons on the front of the light, handy when your phone is out of reach. The range of the Bluetooth seems quite limited tho, with sound breakups if you venture too far away with your phone.You can also receive calls through the speaker, a handy function indeed.Charging is a breeze, simply plug the USB cable into any powered port and away it goes. You can still use the unit while it is charging by the way. The unit will even talk to you if the battery is low, prompting you to charge it. This maybe an issue later if the unit battery's get low during the night and it starts repeating it's message!The unit features rubber feet to keep it stable and a fold away handle in the base. The power button is also found on the base.Overall I'm very impressed with the unit and may consider buying more units in the future.Update: There is one issue with this light - battery usage. The unit takes around 3 hours to charge up, which is fine i guess. However we have found that if you leave the unit in the switched on position, with no light on and Bluetooth switched off it will be flat in the morning. So something is draining the battery overnight, meaning you have to switch the unit off if you don't want to have to charge it up everyday! So no use as a night light if the little one needs it in the night. The manual states that the unit has 7 hours usage, no chance! Tested this and with Bluetooth off and the light set to low we are getting 2 to 2.5hours before full drain. As the unit is in a little ones room i would not even consider leaving it plugged into a charger, maybe if it was not charged via USB.A real shame for such a great product.

I do love this and it all works fine. However I have a problem with it! If I just press the top to turn it off (on standby) when I get into bed then I find the battery only lasts a couple of nights doing this. I decided because of this to actually switch it off at the bottom instead but then it makes a stupid turkey noise which then wakes my husband up! I also then can't use it with ease if I get up in the middle of the night. A- because I'm flaffing about looking for the switch and B- because of the stupid turkey noise. So it really just needs to be plugged in. When my bedroom is finished and I actually have a plug socket available then I'll enjoy using it again. Until then it's in the bathroom for some music and always has power as I switch it off at the base after use. It can make it's turkey noise as much as it wants in there. It's super cute though. Bit bright. Only like the red for the bedroom. My husband tells me it looks like the red light district..

First off, the product looks nice and is of respectable build quality for the price. The user interface is a bit contrived, with some buttons that are probably unnecessary such as the light lock button and the mode button, and when you turn it on it gives off a silly sound effect which is not ideal for my use (I use this whilst my partner is sleeping, turning it on with an unmuteable sound is irritating). The range of colours could be better, and furthermore a brightness setting for the colour lights would be great just as there is three settings available for the white light.Overall, it'd be a decent and versatile purchase with the bonus of being a portable speaker for camping or anything of the sort, but I'm very disappointed in the poor battery performance. Using mines either on the lowest white light settings, the red or blue lights, I find that the fully charged battery cannot sustain itself for even an hour - nevermind the claimed seven hours. My product may be defective, but that would suggest poor battery quality in the first place. At just 800mAh (about a third of an average smartphone battery) this is just insufficient, I'd suggest purchasing a product of identical design (all coming from the same manufacturer most likely) with a larger battery. Tomons and Lightstory sell identical products at identical prices but with claimed 2000mAh batteries. That's over twice as much battery life - a no brainer really. Mabor sells a nicer looking one with 4000mAh for slightly more cost, and this is just what a cursory search shows. Overall, I'd suggest shopping around, as there are plenty competitors with bigger batteries out there!Edit: Despite the problems I experienced with this product, customer service was snappy and eager to amend my experience. I was put off and decided not to take a replacement, but they quickly refunded me in full - so I would say you can buy with confidence and see if you're satisfied. Upgraded to three stars, from two.

It's that good. No seriously this little gem (once you have familiarised yourself with the touch controls) is a great purchase. My needs was a touch lamp and to combine a reasonably small BT speaker in one device. I have achieved this. Operation is the only downside to this device and you need to have patience to really get the most from it. Colours are plenty bright enough for a bedside lamp, all of the colours (even have it flicker to your music if so desired). Bonus it can be wireless so if that's your thing then great you can sit in the outdoors and dance around your globe of light like a frantic hippy from the 1960's. Me however it's my bedside lamp mainly. Enjoy it. I have.Update. One annoying thing I've noticed, is that a function blue led on the unit is mostly constantly flashing when on usb power and at night if your lamp is off, it will flash blue mildy.
